how to get Darchdroid "news and weather" app on Fresh 2.3.3?

i tried darchdroid's 2.7 rom yesterday and liked the "news and weather" app he had on there. how do i get that app on Fresh 2.3.3 so i can delete my USA TODAY app?

You pull the GenieWidget.apk from Darch and push it to fresh /system/app

hey ccapasso, i went back to fresh 2.3.3 for now. by pull do you mean i have to reflash darchdroid 2.7 and then go through the sdk to do the adb pull geniewidget.apk or can i just pull the geniewidget.apk directly from the darchdroid googleshitz zip? then put that geniewidge.apk into my sdk tools folder and do the adb push? i have to go look for the fresh 2.1.2 thread again to refresh my memory on how to push files. i dont know how you guys remember these commands off the top of your heads! thanks for the reply

You don't have to re-flash to pull it. Just look for the geniewidget.apk in either the googleshit zip. Then put that apk in your android-sdk-windows/tools folder, then push it to /system/app in Fresh

i wonder why the news and weather app can't be downloaded from the market?

how do i remove a .apk through sdk? whats the command? i pushed a audio widget and found out that its not that great so i want to remove it now. is it:

adb remove nameoftheapk.apk /system/app/nameoftheapk.apk

nevermind, realized that you replied to another thread i asked on. just incase anyone wants to know. steps:

adb remount
adb shell
cd /system/app/
ls (*Note, this will show you what all is in the current directory you are in)
rm nameofapk.apk
