What's the best place to download movies to your phone? Do any of you guys download them directly to your phones? What format do they have to be in on the computer to put on your phone? I know my iphone was mpeg4. Keeping my kids busy on road trips, plane trips and restaurants is of paramount importance. I'd like to find a place to download some kids movies. Preferably for cheaper than $20. yuck. But I am not into stealing them so don't bother with torrent sites. The people that made them deserve to get paid for their craft.

I have a zune hd and downloaded some movies. But because it has dmr protection, i can't copy it without some illegal programing. So it depends on where you download then from and if they they are dmr protected. So my suggestion would be to purchase some movies and rip it to your computer and use handbrake to convert to mp4 and transfer them to your phone.

And if it's illegal it's probably not a good idea to talk about it here. *Not geared towards you... just a general statement*

As long as everything stays under the assumption that you physically OWN the movies/content you are DL'ing there is not a problem though! :)

With a blu-ray drive.

not really, it's not illegal to rip your own movies.
And these come in computers now I assume? It's not like ripping a regular DVD? I am going to buy a computer for my home tonight. Do I need a special one to do this.
That would be an inappropriate discussion on this forum.

Google search is your friend.
Not if you own them which I do.

Yes, welcome to 2010.

Pretty much, you have to have special software to rip them, but a quick google search will lead you to what you need.

Well you need a blu-ray drive obviously. A good video card will help, and the more processor power you can afford, the better. Video encoding is very CPU intensive.
