Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I got my shipping information last night at 9:15 central time. I didn't notice until this morning because they sent it to a different e-mail than what I had been checking.

So where's my phone, Fedex??
Says that my package is in memphis, Tennessee.

Ordered 6/17 over the phone
est. ship date 7/15
actual Ship date Jul 12, 2010
Estimated delivery - Jul 14, 2010 by 7:00 PM

So it looks like I will be getting my phone 1 day earlier than expected! (TOMORROW!) :D:D:D

I don't know if it's confirmed that it only works on the primary line, but if your item has been shipped, and you call *611, after the spanish sentence, you'll hear that you have a device waiting activation. If not, you'll just hear main menu.

You call on the line being upgraded (even if you're using the upgrade for another line, call on the one you used your NE2 for). That was my experience anyway. Mine's sitting at the FedEx depot across town now, and if it doesn't make it on a truck to deliver here shortly, I'm going to call our rep and see if I can just go pick it up at the depot, lol.

On FedEx vehicle for delivery
CONOVER, NC

:D

BUT I could swear that 5 minutes ago (around 9:10am), it still showed it was at the local depot, guess it takes a bit to get the data from the truck to the system...

Unless you just wanted to start fresh, and you had a retail Ultimate key, you could have always done an Anytime Upgrade and not had to re-install. Meant to mention that the other day, but I think I forgot, lol.

So I just got home and finished dinner (very disappointing, my burrito tasted like they dumped a pound of sugar on it!) and I see that the forums have been down the majority of the day, meaning no one has been able to post their exciting shipping confirmations :(

So I took a quick glance at the other forum and several people with 6/17 orders posted about getting shipping notifications today.

There's still hope!

I probably won't be back on tonight since I am going to reformat my PC which will take forever. But hopefully tomorrow will bring lots of good news. More 6/18's going out and maybe a few 6/19's if we're lucky :D

Have a good night guys, cya tomorrow!

I'm up! Shocker, huh ;)

JUST finished formating the damn PC. It's all done except for my 100+ gigs of video files. Everything else is installed and/or transfered.

I need a nap :D

Sounds like someone needs an external hdd:rolleyes:, got about 700gigs of movies programs and books on my 1tb external, no transferring needed :D

Lightweights, lol. My movies share on my NAS is using around 5.4tb, another tb or so for music/books/etc, lol. I have WAY too much on that system to have a proper external backup, so the system is parity backed so if I loose a drive, it can rebuild the data. I'll be trying this morning to get my SageTV box set up to work with the Android app that's been developed, to see if I can access that content while on the road from my phone, as that would just be sweet :D. If not, I'll have to check into alternatives (does a slingbox work with locally stored files, or just stuff from your TV source?).

Needed a fresh start.

TBH, I don't ever do upgrades only. I want everything done neatly and cleanly and while I fully support windows (Mac, bleh!) they are not the best at upgrades. Sure, all your settings and files are saved, but I don't need all those extra registry keys hanging around.

Clean install is the only way to go IMO.

Well gosh there was some flirting in here last night wasn't there? :)

I can't wait for the first 6/20 to go out. Everytime my e-mail says (1) I die inside. And also, someone said the $25 GC was for ordered of 6/28 and before.. If I ordered 6/26, should I be getting one?

LOL. That's what 3AM will do to you :D

I ordered 6/19 and didn't get a $25 card, either. Unless my phone shows up late I am not going to worry about it but if its late I WILL be calling for my money!

Well said! If it doesn't ship after 6/23, I don't really have anything to complain about. Everyone seems to be receiving theirs a few days before their "supposedly" shipping notice. This is good news for us!

About 5 years ago, I started using a PC-based DVR system called SageTV. At some point in there, they added the capability of playing a ripped DVD from storage, so I built a massive storage box, and ripped all our DVD's (we have a wall full, lol). They've since added Bluray, which are HUGE, so I've started doing those as well :D. I just checked the system, and it shows my library content would take 72 days, 20 hours and 34 minutes to play start to finish without repeats, lol. I also have about 1.5tb of 'video' storage used (stuff recorded with the capture cards in the PC), adding another 29 days 14hrs and 17 minutes.. Yes, we're TV addicts... I also happen to be a drive space addict, lol (the system is down to about 350gb free, so I'll need to be ordering a couple 1tb drives here soon)...

This picture of my server is an older one, I've since added another 5-in-3 housing to it, and have 2 slots left open (that's 13 HD's in that box as of now tho, lol).

So kids, I am up bright and early here! Lets get started on those shipping notifications!!

Come on Good News! :)

So... after hearing the "Phone ready for activation message" I called CRS thrice last nite and once this morning..they don't have any shipping info and no email notification either. They said the phone will be shipped no later than 7/14. I am hoping the phone was shipped and the VW system just hasn't updated and I'll go bak home to find my phone at the door :)

Now THAT is beautiful. Kick ass job!

We are planing on doing a dumbed down set up similar to your's. Simply rip all of our DVD's to external HDD's and then just run them through the XBox 360. A couple of friends did this and it works pretty well. Between my fiance and I we have over 1000 DVD's so it'll be pretty time consuming to set up at first but will be SO much nicer to deal with when it's all done.

The Drobo boxes look nice, but I've never used 'em. My setup is a home-built PC (Antec 900 case, with 9 5.25" bays, 3 Supermicro 5-in-3 drive bays, a single-core low-power mobo/cpu combo with 4g memory (can't remember what I've got in there right now), and several PCIE Sata controllers to run the drives), running Lime-Technologies UnRaid software. It's basically the same type setup as the Drobos as far as parity goes, but I've probably got less in my hardware than you would if you bought their largest drobo box. If you're not wanting to go through the setup and configuration of a linux-based PC basically, and just want to drop a ton of storage on your network without much hassle, the drobo would probably be the way to go. If you're like me and live to build PC's, then the unraid box fits the bill :D.

Just ordered a 2nd 1500mah battery for my phone, and hopefully I'll have the phone in the next hour or so :D.

If you just rip them, without any sort of re-compression, that'd be approx. 8Tb of movies right there :D. I started off with the re-compression method, but once Sage added support for menus on the DVD's, I started just doing straight rips without any sort of re-compression (average DVD is around 7-8gb). They still don't support menus on BD's, and since they average 30+gb per movie, I've been re-compressing those into .mkv files, dropping the file-sizes down to around 8-9gb per movie. If you're going to convert 1000 dvd's, you've DEFINITELY got a long road ahead :D.

My phone is finally, finally on the truck for delivery!!!!!!!!! I won't even complain that they've had it since Thursday, and it was supposed to be 2 business days! :):):):):):):):)

Wooohooo!!!!!!!! It seems that when you are staring at the FedEx page and constantly refreshing, FedEx seems to move at the speed of smell.

Mine doesn't show that it has been loaded for local delivery yet. :( Do you think if I hit F5 enough times, they will hurry faster? :D

Update: FedEx just updated their system. My Inc is on the truck for local delivery!!!!!!!

don't know when this turned into a computer forum :)

When I'm trying NOT to wear holes in the carpet at work walking to the front to see if the Fedex truck happens to be parked outside, lol.

And it's not a Droid X forum, but we see a lot of talk about that on here too ;).

And last but not least, I have a blackbelt in thread derailing :D.

Unless I read it wrong it was phones that were supposed to SHIP by 6/28 that were pushed back. Not phones ORDERED before then (6/28). Could be wrong though but I remember reading the word ship not order. I ordered 6/14 and never received one or got a notification I was gonna get one.
