The Six Degrees of Black Sabbath

Everyone has heard of the six degrees of separation, if not here is the quote from wikipedia
Wikipedia said:
Six degrees of separation (also referred to as the "Human Web") refers to the idea that everyone is at most six steps away from any other person on Earth, so that a chain of, "a friend of a friend" statements can be made to connect any two people in six steps or fewer. It was originally set out by Frigyes Karinthy and popularized by a play written by John Guare.

Anyways, what this site does is takes two artists and finds how many degrees of separation to connect them.

For Example

Queens of the Stone Age to Slim Thug

  1. First we start with Queens of the Stone Age
  2. that has member Troy Van Leeuwen
  3. that was member of A Perfect Circle
  4. that has member Danny Lohner
  5. that was member of Methods of Mayhem
  6. that created the track Get Naked (feat. Lil' Kim, George Clinton, Mix Master Mike and Fred Durst) that was performed by Lil' Kim
  7. that created the track Big Momma Thang (feat. Jay-Z) that was performed by Jay-Z
  8. that performed the track Change Clothes (feat. Jay Z) by Slim Thug

Simple as that.

Who can get the longest and oddest connections!

From Immortal Technique to AC/DC in 14 steps

Interesting site, but I am not sure how accurate it is. For example, I tried to connect Beethoven to 'Lil Wayne and after the Beethoven entry, it mentions that Beethoven is the performance name of Marc Trauner, a former member of Killerloops. Then it proceeds to connect this to that as it is designed to do.

Not so sure if two people are connected if they use the same name.
