what exactly is the 64 mb baseband chip on the my touch is it included in the ram which is 192 am i correct ,which i understand through specs in the uk magic is 288 correct me if ime wrong and what is its function? #3G MYTOUCH USER

Baseband refer to the radios in the phone ... the phone has several radios, Cell, Data, GPS, Wifi,

You can check your baseband version in the system setting under about phone..

I am not sure exactly what the chip you are referring to is about ... but do you have a link to the source that you are looking at ?
