Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

Sweet, I love my local FedEx place! Mine was shipped yesterday with 2-day shipping, scheduled to arrive tomorrow. But I noticed that it's at my local facility as of 7:43 this morning.

I called and asked if I could just come get it. He said it's ALREADY on the truck!! He said the driver may or may not actually attempt to deliver today, as it's not due until tomorrow. Apparently they sort everything onto the trucks as soon as it comes in, they like to "keep ahead of the shipments"

BUT.... he told me to leave a note on the door just in case he does try to deliver and if he doesn't I can pick it up tonight after 6PM.

YAY!! I'm so excited!!

First time posting, but also guilty of lurking from day 1 of ordering.

ordered with a business account with over 200 active Blackberrys.

I am getting excited. Did the whole appbrain/accessories thing. Just now waiting for my Incredible.

We have such a good account with Verizon and they have always been nice with everything since my company has so many Blackberrys and BES plans with them.

I am planning on switching some users to Android OS. Going to order 10 more phones after I test some software with my Incredible.

I have tried everything to get them to ship it out faster. Although they have been very helpful, it was out of their control.

I noticed too that they have been shipping faster and the website changed to 8/2 shipping. I am getting really excited that I couldn't help not posting ....


Are they really catching up? Looks like they may ship out 6/23s by Friday....

I just wanted to add... I am not going to try the "leave a note" route myself, but Fed Ex did confirm that you can do that with indirect delivery.

The phones are being shipped to my fiance's house and there are several teens in neighboring houses that... well... leave a little to be desired if you know what I mean. So I don't want the package just sitting there. Hopefully his roommate will answer and sign for it, otherwise I'll get them this evening.

As excited as I am, I would rather wait a few extra hours than risk them getting stolen from the doorstep and have to wait another month.

Thought I'd come out from lurking and post and give hope to the 6.19ers
6/18 order instore, original quote was shipping July 18th, then couple weeks later went in and they said at least the 20th, dad went in to check something on his account and checked for my phone, tracking number no later than the 15th.
Woke up this morning and got the *611 pending activation notice, called verizon, got tracking number, was told it was already shipped yesterday and was going to be here today before 3pm. too bad ill be at work until 8.

But for those expecting delivery, you dont need to be home. With Fedex indirect signature required, you can leave a note, dated with your name, tracking number and a signature and that is acceptable for the deliveryman to drop it off. I called FedEx to make sure, and the CSR said it was kosher.

We've all been there....it's a helluva wait, but I keep hearing it's totally worth it...mine should ship this week, if all goes according to the schedule everyone else seems to be on.

I had some money issues and couldn't order until mid-late June, so I know how it feels to wish you had pulled the trigger earlier...it'll all be worth it in the end when we're sitting in the Lounge talking about how crazy it was that we waited this long (and with this much anticipation) for anything...

Thanks for the welcome SS! My delay wasn't so much $ issues as it was dragging my feet! I've known since around the release date that I wanted this phone. Much of the delay was in upgrading my daughter's phone due to maturity and irresponsibility...teenagers! Anyway, I caved and while I was ordering hers I ordered mine. Oh, BTW, no smart phone for her, just a regular feature phone with many blocks!

6/15 orders were happening this weekend. Now today we see a 6/21. Hoping for sure my 6/26 in store will ship within 7 days.

Edit: I'm thinking about going through this thread and trying to determine how many order days are shipping per each day. My rough guestimate is 1.4 order days per week day.
