wirefly 50.00 back offer

The only question is do they honor any and all VZW Customer discounts? (NE2, corporate discounts, etc.?)

Also note that Bing ends on July 30th, so get those orders in before that.

Hey JubbaTheHutt, wanted to chime in and let you know that Wirefly does not honor VZW discounts at this time.

*** Correction: We don't honor NE2 but do honor corporate discounts.

Anyone know what's Wirefly's full MSRP price? It doesn't show.

thats what I been waiting to see. hoping I get the email saying its selling soon, but if it doesnt go on sale til 12 west coast time I wont find out. I hope to have already ordered by then..now if I knew the price I'd might wait to save 50 bucks if it was even applied to full retail...then again if the promo code works for 10% off at full retail with vzw I will save 50$ that way erggggg

Alright, I'm a bit confused here. I've never upgraded or whatever online before so forgive me if these are stupid questions.

I've got a Droid on a family plan with my Wife who has an Eris. Our contract is not up until Nov of 2011. That's what Verizon shows with an upgrade date in Aug of 2011, which seems a bit off because I was under the impression I would get an upgrade on my primary line in Nov of this year since my plan is roughly $190 per month.

Anyway when looking at wirefly this is what their disclaimer says:

Current Verizon Wireless family plan customers: Droid special online price offer available only when upgrading the primary line on a family plan. Wirefly is the Internet's #1 authorized dealer for Verizon Wireless. This offer is fulfilled by Simplexity, LLC, an authorized dealer for Verizon Wireless. This offer is only available with select service plans, features and a two-year subscriber agreement, and is subject to eligibility check by Verizon Wireless, including credit approval or deposit for new customers. Droid by Motorola, Motorola Devour and Droid Eris offers apply to primary and second lines only. Not all US markets are served by Verizon Wireless. Activation and early termination fees apply. Additional restrictions apply. See full offer for details. Offer valid for a limited time only.

It doesn't say you have to be eligible for an upgrade only that you have to upgrade the primary line. So here's the questions...

1. Does anyone think based on the wording that I can get the promo pricing by extending my contract? My phone is the primary line..

2. I've walked through the steps a few times now and it makes me pick a new plan.. Currently on Verizon my plan shows as NATIONWIDE TALK & TEXT FAMILY SHARE PRI 1400. I would choose the
Nationwide Talk & Text Unlimited - Contract Extension plan if I can do this but how will that work for my wife? Will she now have 1400 mins to herself? or does her plan automatically switch to the unlimited since we have a family plan?

Sorry for the stupid questions I'd just really like to get a bit of clarification instead of setting myself up for some problems down the road..

Wirefly does not honor NE2, but you can keep your corporate discount. If you are upgrading through Wirefly, it is applied automatically.

So once I enter in my current phone number and the account number, my 20% discount will be applied automatically and the plan price will be adjusted accordingly? Even though the plan's amount with the corporate discount applied is technically less than the full price of the plan, this won't be considered going under the "minimum" amount I have to pay for the first 6 months, since the discount is applied automatically? Sorry if that was tough to follow; I just don't want to get nailed with that $200 "pay less than the originally agreed upon plan" fee for only paying $80/month (as a result of the corporate discount) when the plan is usually $100/month. I love the opportunities that Wirefly gives, but I just want to make sure I'm not setting myself up to get screwed.

Tech42er, you are correct, your corporate plan discount will be applied as usual to the plan you select during checkout. The 6-month policy only applies if you switch plans.

Hey krichek,
So here's my experience with a similar situation:
My contract is up in May 2011, but upgrade (NE2) is Jan 2011. On a 2yr plan, VZW lets you switch to a new phone after 12 months, so I thought I was safe. I went on Wirefly, ordered a phone on my primary line and it went through. Then, sadly, Wirefly emailed me saying VZW made them cancel the order as I was not yet eligible for an upgrade. Apparently, VZW won't let you use any 3rd party sellers until you reach that official upgrade date, which in your case is August...it sucks because now rather than getting it for $129 on Wirefly, I have to pay $199 - 10%, plus tax on the retail price, so tack on another $53!!!! And when I called VZW, they said that's the way it works since they're doing me a favor! How is my having to pay you more in data plans for the next 2 years doing me a favor???

Hey tranceFusion, if you are keeping the line you add active, Verizon Wireless does allow you to swap phones. If you were to cancel the new line, however, you would be assessed a charge.

I am keeping it active. However I wanted to use the annual upgrade and employee discount against the new droid x rather than my wife's dumbphone... in which case I understand I would have to call verizon to set the droid x as the primary after activating it.

tranceFusion, you'll need to call us and have us do the swap for you so that we can ensure that our agent ID stays attached. If the agent ID is lost, a fee would be charged. Please go ahead and submit your order, and if you have any issues when you call in, please send an email to wecare@wirefly.com and an agent will give you a call to get you all fixed up.
