How do I prep my INC for Turn-in Tomorrow?

I am a little hesitant to post this in the Incredible forums (afraid I'll get flamed). I have been using my Inc. for about 2 weeks. I have my contacts and such on there ( backed up with verizon), All my apps backed up and synced with App Brain.

I still need to figure out:

1. how to erase my contacts, personal info, etc. On a Blackberry I new how to do a "wipe device" does Android have anything similar?

2. I have a few videos that I would REALLY like to keep. they are too big to email. For some reason they are not saved to the micro sd card and I can't figure out how to save it to the sd card or my computer (by hooking up the phone via usb). Any ideas?

That or you should be able to port them over to a computer via USB connection or removing and inserting the microsd card into a card reader.

Make sure you remove ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING from the device before you return it. There should be a way to do a factory reset (I'd google or ask in the Incredible forum). I wouldn't trust a Verizon Tech to do it...especially if there are some personal items on the phone.

HEADS UP! A Factory reset does not erase anything you have in the /emmc/ folder. This is the internal 8gig of flash. It survives a master reset like the sd card does. BTW that's a way to get stuff off the phone, just copy it to an sd card with estrongs or Astro. You'd have to return the sd they gave you though.
Also if you rooted the phone, a master reset does not remove that either. You have to unroot it first.

How dare you return the Inc? You evil person. HEHE I'm doing the same.

If course she'll have to transfer everything off the card than format it when everything is said and done.

Maybe I should clarify... I am not even sure where these videos are being saved... I am assuming the internal memory. I have tried to access that from a usb, but apparently I am not looking in the right place. I did not root it, because I knew I was turning it back in. I did very little customization of it b/c of that

Again... these are not on my sd card... and I cannot seem to find the option to save them to my sd card. My sd card shows no DCIM folder.

I really would like to get these videos off... they are of my one year old little girl eating her 1st birthday cake... priceless!

None of my videos were saved to an SD card just the phone's memory. So you can't find the DCIM folder when you plug it into your computer?

The files I see under E: are

.doubleTwist

.giq

adobe

.footprints

.mail

albumthums

Amazonmp3 (which has NONE of my purchases in it?)

crashlogs

handmark

data

Lost.Dir

Media

Yahoo!

Music

TunnyBrowser

psmobile_usage.xml

I just tried to do a WHOLE phone search on Astro for DCIM and I am coming up empty. I access the videos through the stock "photos" app if that makes any difference

Also.. When I was trying to follow the custom dock app tutorial that AirMaxx did, I could find all my icons in a DCIM folder either...

I have dcim and astro doesn't find it on a search either, probably because it's a directory and not a file. Try hitting the "up" button in astro until you see

app-cache
config
cache

..etc

dcim should be one of those folders and the pics and video are in there.

That's how it is on my evo. Not sure about the inc, but i would think the android file system is pretty standardized?
