I'm 19 and on a family plan with my parents so theres no way they would let me buy a phone for like over 400$ so i have no choice but to get this phone as part of a contract upgrade (full upgrade). but i was torn between waiting for the new htc emerald phone or whatever later this year but i finally decided that there will always be a great, superphone 'right around the corner'. plus this screen is unmatched (maybe iphone 4), the reviews have been great, and samsung has already promised 2.2 and maybe even 3.0.

Renewing my contract with tmobile.. I'm a little confused though because my local tmobile store says I can purchase the vibrant for 200 (after rebate) and I get a mytouch 3g slide free (For my wife) but customer service says I can not do that with the Vibrant(hope customer service is wrong) if I'm not able to get this deal I'm getting myself a droid x tomorrow.. Either way I'm getting an android phone lol

People are already complaining over Droid X bootloader being locked with special encryption sooo.... By the sounds of it Root and Custom Roms for Droid X is a no go already.
