So how do you like it?!?!?!

I love it so far! My favorite thing coming from the EVO is the keyboard!! No mistakes yet, so easy to type!!

Also, WIFI signal is MUCH stronger. That was a big negative for me on the EVO. I have two networks in my house - second floor and in the basement. On the evo, I only got one network to show up and I had to very close for it to even pick up the network. On the X, I get both networks and my neighbors haha, sweet!!!

I'm adding my apps back now, they all seem to be there. Also, downloaded startup auditor. There's a lot of things that are auto enabled that I don't need!

Ok back to playing with the new toy:D

I love the hardware. Big pluses from the Inc. are the camera button, hard menu buttons. I love the feel of it (size and weight are perfect). The downside is the software isn't as smooth (but use launcher pro to take care of that) and screen will just take some getting used to.

But overall i love it! battery seems great from the limited time i've had it.

I need to learn how to use this thing and I'm at work. 1st smart phone for me. Was trying to set up a reminder for my wife and I's anniversary in the calender and ended up sending her emails to both her accounts and a text to her phone. Now I can't figure out how to get back to it and delete the event so I can try again without sending out a message to my wife that I "need" a reminder.
I keep getting bugged at work to do work things, I should just go home sick today and play.

I love the phone so far. From my experience, the applications are very snappy and I have not experienced any lag with anything so far. I will probably not use the Blockbuster app too often but I tried it out last night and the video was in amazing quality. The keyboard is definitely better than any other phone I've had. My hands are somewhat small, but I don't mind the big size of the phone. The camera is definitely a step up from the original Droid I had. For those complaining about picture quality, you have to remember that it's a phone - not an actual digital camera. I think it takes amazing photos. But overall, I love just how smooth everything is. My previous Droid would lag tremendously and it was quite annoying. Even though its just the first day of having the phone, I know I'm gonna love it more and more each day.

Scratch that, my favorite feature is being able to get a signal in my house!!!! :D

Just tested every room pretty much and all is well :)

Compare that to sprint's signal-only-by-a-window calling plan.

What other device did you have? I have tested the Inc and X and they have the same signal. Both ranged -71dBm to -98dBm in the areas tested and were plus or minus 1 to 2 dBm from each other.

Coming from the Inc:

-Screen is HUGE! But in a good way ;)
-Unlock seems laggy
-Dedicated camera button, YES!
-I actually miss the Sense UI
-Just as fast as Inc
-SUPERIOR call quality
-speaker seems less loud than Inc for ringtones, etc
-so far battery isn't dropping as fast as Inc
-Moto widgets are not as good as HTC, but certains apps remedy this (beautiful widgets, launcher pro, etc)

That's it so far. I am happy with it after 5 hours of use. Already shipped my Inc to someone on eBay, no turning back. My big reasons for switching were the awful battery life on the Inc and I wanted the bigger screen for internet use. My Inc never dropped calls, but the X def has better call quality.

Loving it so far, couldn't be happier, the only problem is mine has a small scratch on the metal in the bottom left corner, looks like someone might have scratched it with a fingernail. I don't usually care about such things and it's not really noticeable, but since it's brand new, I might just exchange the phone when I get home.

i got it about an hour ago. i HAAAAAAAAATE my house. same coverage or worse than ATT (have a 3gs)/Sprint (sister has a centro) at this location. i was really hoping verizon would get better coverage here. i am at -90 to -95 most of the time. calls go through ok but data lags.

as far as the phone...it's impressive. beautiful screen..though it's a fingerprint magnet. i am sure a screen protector will help.

it does run a little bit warm. i read that in one of the earlier reviews.

call quality: i am not that impressed. callers on the other end said that the noice cancellation is doing its job but theres still a lil bit of muffling to my voice. i also noticed some distortion/squeaking on the earpiece.

and boy verizon is not cheap. no 7pm mins! so i would have to bump to a 900 min plan vs. the 450+7pm i had on the iphone.

but then again i am not sure if i am keeping it. we shall see..

First smartphone for me. The unlock screen is very laggy... this is disappointing. Apart from that, my only other complaint is when selecting the Quick Contact, or whatever they call it. I kept accidentally linking people together when I was trying to scroll through the list in order to link someone's phone number to their facebook account. I couldn't figure out why some people weren't showing up. Then I realized that 'Kathy' and 'Amy' were linked under one contact.

So far so good!

Large phone and very comfortable to hold.

My only complaints include:

- Watching youtube videos makes the device VERY warm and somewhat uncomfortable to hold.
- While watching youtube and receiving a call, the youtube program got an error that said something like "Application Timeout" and wouldn't let me search away from within the app. I had to do a restart of the entire phone.

And a quirky I hope people can help me with... I'm' a noob to android but how come the backbutton doesn't always function? Examples include: Reading email. I want to read an email and then go back to the inbox without having to delete anything. Pressing the back button does nothing and pressing the Application button doesn't give me that option. I'm using Hotmail btw.

When going through the Settings menu, I cannot use the back button to go the the previous menu, instead I have to hit home and then the settings button again!

Any help would be much appreciated.

Love the phone too, the battery life seems great so far

My DX is getting a good signal at my desk at work and great wifi coverage. My Incredible never did that. However, it keeps roaming at my desk. My Eris nor my Incredible ever went into roaming at my office.

I am noticing unlock lag. My have to reinstall LockBot Pro to take care of that.

I think lockbot is your problem. It doesn't work well with many phones, always causes lag when you wake up the phone and sometimes, the lockscreen doesn't show at all.

My first impressions:

- "Wow this is big in my hand... I have small hands"
- "Physical buttons aren't bad at all. I will have to get used to them since I'm used to just touching them."
- "Holy crap the screen is huge."
- "Resolution isn't bad at all on a screen this size."
- "HD video capture looks amazing!"
- "8MP camera works great and I love the effects"
and umm...
- "Damn this is thinner than I thought."
