Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

And the closer the date gets the worse the torture becomes. I am a maniac at calling 611 and my family wants to talk everytime I dial so I am outraged since I have heard you only get the message once.

So I finally broke down and dialed 611 again. This time something magical happened. I did not hear main menu. A voice begans speaking and said, "we are currently" and at that point I about passed out. I thougth for sure it was going to say that they were currently activating a new phone for me. Unfortunately the voice went on to say that they are currently experiencing a higher than normal call volume, probably due to Droid X.

I am insane!!!!

I got the same message... but I hit "0" and got someone immediately. Faster than normal. Still saying ship date of 7/22 for my 6/24 order.

& JRM, whenever I had to do *611, I would press 0 right away. I don't think many people know that? Because I saw a lot of "after navigating the menus to talk to someone..." it's easier to just hit 0 and get to someone right away.

Also, will people get shipping notices on Saturday's and Sunday's? I've seen a few on Sunday but i'm not sure.. If so, I'm hoping to have my phone by a week from tomorrow!

I have not received an email nor did I hear a message after dialing 611, but I called about porting over our home number to a cell and the CSR asked if there was anything else she could help me with. I asked her if she could check on shipping. She said yes, then said "Oh, I see it, let me check Fed Ex for you" and I about hyperventilated.

Unfortunately it shipped out of Memphis and is 2 day so it will be Monday. Scheduled by 7pm. I will be in DC at that time so will have to wait until I get back.

So bitter sweet.

I ordered on 6/21 so yesterday I sent an email to Verizon to inquire about my order status.
Today at 12:40 I got my shipping info that it shipped today 7/15 with expected delivery date of 7/16. An hour later I get an email response about my order and Verizon says that 6/21-6/22 orders will ship 7/19. Hah! How funny is that.

Mine is due here on the 19th, and originally it was the 21st...so 2 days earlier. Hope that holds true for you as well.
