Post your 3G data so speeds please!

I'm deciding whether to return my Evo for the X, mainly because of data speeds. Can you test your speeds with the speedtest.net app and post your results and location. I'm in Westlake Village, CA and sprees have dropped big time lately.

im in rock hill SC and the data with my Evo and sprint is SLOW like really SLOW!!!

484 dl 71 upload is the highest

average is around 225 dl and 40 upload KBPS!!!!

its a tad slow coming from my iphone on att

but the phone is a thing of beauty

man i moved like 30 feet in my building and i was getting over 1.2mbps i gues is location also ive seen upload speeds of up to 700kbps..

I dont think the apps reflect a real test of you phone performance at all times, i was getting slightly better numbers with my iphone here but for some reason it actually was a tad slower online

also upload is really not that important since im not sending 3000 packets or hosting anything.

does anyone know how reflective is the DL speed lets say if it gives me 100kbps dl...that means it will take me 10 seconds to DL 1mb picture????

BINGO!

User experience is not just a function of speed (bandwidth), but latency plays a HUGE roll. Check your ping times. They should be much better on EVDO Rev. A than on HSPA.

And just wait for LTE... we're talking wicked fast pings!

At 100kbps it would take 84s to download a 1mb file.

you must not have 4g in your little village.

i average right around 4megs in 4g mode, although i have hit 5's fairly often.

upload is always around 1meg.

on 3g, it's typically about 1 meg down and half a meg up.

at my house, i get solid speeds all the time, and have been able to cancel cable internet and go 100% evo for everything.
