Yup, just picked my Vibrant up and was expecting a $62.50 payment per month but was surprised when I saw "as low as $25/month". Just picked mine up and am happy to know my monthly bill will be lower than expected, I'm planning on just paying it off in full when I have the funds but for now, I'm happy with a lower bill for the next few months.

I guess I don't understand. You were expecting to pay $1,250 for this phone? That's what $62.50 a month comes to after 20 payments. $25.00 is what it should be as that makes the phone $500 after all 20 payments are made.

20 payments isn't mandatory. That's the most they will allow you. I'm paying $66.25 for 3 months. It should be $62.50, but the employee screwed up and charged me the early upgrade price of $264.99 instead of $249.99. So I got $15 in credit which will basically negate that extra money I'm paying of for the phone.

Correct. The 20 payment plan is for people that buy the phone off contract. I did this when I got my Blackberry 9700. I ended up paying like 4 months on it then paid it off once I got my tax return. I'll also be doing the 20 payment plan thing when I pick up my Vibrant after work.

I'm sure you can do the cheap payment plan with a contract as well.

I'm looking at my EIP contract/disclosures sheet and it says the total amount financed is $240.30. Add on the $26.68 I paid today and you get $266.98, which is the cost of the phone with a 2 yr contract.
