Memory usage question

What is eating up memory?

When I received the refurb it said 131Mb free space.
I have installed a few apps (google voice, notepad, swype) it shrank by 1 Mb (only)

After the nightly profilactic battery pull for 1 minute I rebooted the phone
and now I have 120 Mb. Where did the 10Mb go?

Did you do any internet surfing? Browser cache can climb to be many MBs very quickly. Easy to check and clean:

Settings -> Applications -> Manager Applications -> select Browser -> Cache (Clear Cache button)

Check you memory usage before and after and see if this accounts for the difference.

I have not used the browser at all on this phone - still it had ~200kb in cache...
I looked around other prgrams' caches - cleared up about 3 Mb...
