I have the latest updat and i want a simple way to root my phone, Ive read threads and it seems like its rocket science, flash the rom? kernel? fresh roms? bootlooders? what is all this?????

I would advice checking out this thread http://androidforums.com/all-things-root-evo-4g/122802-unrevoked3-complete-evo-windows-instructions.html

It is pretty simple to do, especially if your on a Mac. I have not mustered up the courage to do the real "toast" type rooting, but apparently with this new unrevoked, you can flash other roms and get wireless tethering....

I wouldn't use UnRevoked because it is not a full root and I have heard of people having issues with 4G when using it. Simple root is quick and easy: [Program] SimpleRoot OTA 1.47.651.1 Edition - xda-developers

If you are just looking to run wifi tether and need root to do so, unrevoked is a fantastic option. It is simple and easy.

If you'd like a full root, use the simple root option tsipa just linked. It is also very easy. They have wisked it into an app that only takes 3 clicks.

Only with the simple root method will you be able to run a ROM of your choosing and all the goods that go along with it.

I have a mac , the instructions in the link say for windows, do you have the instructions for mac?
