EVO under sprint Family plan. Call and Internet History online and in statements

Is there any way to secure call history for one of the phones in family plan, or will the primary account allways have access to every call any phone makes via the statements or online access?

Also, How much browser and download history information is available in statements and online for all phones on the family plan?

So is anybody doing seamless VIOP from the EVO on 3g? If so how? will VOIP calls show up in any logs outside the phone?

Any ETA on when it will get Skype without some third party? How about true multitasking while on Sprint Voice Call? I honestly can't believe it does not offer those two, I'm sure millions will jump when those come in.

BTW, I tested tethering with PDANet on 3g last night .. It worked great - not crazy fast, but good enough in a pinch.

I'm still waiting for 4g in the big city I live in.

For me, these are the monster items I've been waiting for.. Fast tethering, Voip Video and voice client , multitasking with voice.

One cool feature I will use tons is Voice command and Voice Typing.. they work awsome.

Thanks.

Wow that is a lot of questions in 1 post.

I dont know of a way to stop the primary account holder from accessing call history online of all the lines. I dont think its possible.

You want to hide your phone calls and online activities from someone huh?

You sound like Tiger Woods when his wife was going through his phone.:)

If your connected wifi you can multitask while on the phone(internet, email, etc), but not while only in 3G/voice..also skype is a Verizon exclusive for right now I believe bro..Fring was the only real Skype add on help we had, but recently been put off because of something that had to do with apple (I believe) I believe I got the last thing in there right..help me out people if i'm incorrect which I come to believe I am off the top of my head

Browser/download history isn't -- that's isolated to the phone. Text message numbers aren't shown either, just quantity. All VOIP will be tied to whatever program/account is doing the VOIP, unless it interfaces with a normal phone number (ala Google Voice). In that case, a number will show up on the call log. But things like Skype (when it gets multicarrier) or Fring won't.

Oh, ditto for IM apps that use the data network instead of SMS. That'll just show up as normal data use.

yes you can get it on verizon...but hes asking about an evo....evo is only on sprint...

sprint will only release text message information with an order from a court and it still may not happen.

something I know for a fact is that sprint only keeps text message information for 3 to 5 days.. even with a court order you can't get it since their systems aren't set up to maintain/log it....

None, unless you buy stuff from sprint. (ringtones etc)

VOIP will not show up, only as data.

No, ask skype. And what do you mean? You can multitask while on the phone.

Also note that if you use Google Voice for your calls, your outgoing calls on the Sprint bill will only show the number of Google's landline connection number, not the number you called. Incoming calls will show the correct number unless you set up GV to block incoming caller ID.

That's good. But does Google Voice require you to buy a number? What If I never plan to use it for incoming calls, only outgoing. What's roughly the cost of being able to do this?

Besides Google voice and maybe Skype (eventually), any other good and cheap way to make a VOIP call from the EVO? I don't care about video or having a call back number.

Thanks.

You will never be able to access 3g data and voice at the same time on CDMA. That includes Verizon. You will be able to do so with 4G or if you are connected to a wifi router though. As far as other tasks are concerned, i can multitask while using voice with anything that doesn't require a 3g data connection.

You get a Google Voice issued number (you get some choice) when you sign up. And it is all free. How you use that number is up to you. (But you aren't really using the service as you should if you don't use the number.) Note that GV is not a VOIP service. Here are the Google Voice features:

Sweet. Thanks for this response! So the Google Voice client for Android will use only a data connection to place the call? How's the quality? Is it possible to place a private call when dialing out? Is it possible to have google voice notify several google emails at once?

I have not installed the client yet.. wondering, does it try to automatically tie into the google email account on the phone or Google Talk?

Tell me I'm not the only one laughing at that coupled with the accusations of other posters in the thread

These accusation actually remind of this story I heard once, about a dude that got into serious trouble when his wife called his girlfriend to tell her she saw him with another woman.

Is Google Voice allowing outbound calls from 3g where wifi is not available? All I get is "Could Not Complete Your Call... Please try again". Is Wifi required? I tried through Wifi and it's failing with the same error. Also, I'm reading that GV outbound via the GV app is also going to show a local call to some central number every time as it's really not using all Data? This true.. if so, it's not exactly what I'm looking for either.
