Root unrevoked not working fwith Droid Eris

Has anyone tried unrevoked with droid eris. I cant root it keeps giving me Communications with device were unexpectedly interrupted. i got the new 3.1 version updated the drivers, and I am on the OTA 2.1 with HBOOT 1.47 but nothing

Ditto. Not working here either. Using new leak 2.1 and mac os X. same error as above.

Anyone have success on Eris?

I can say i rooted my wifes v3 leak in less then 10 minutes ...most of that reading ....with wag3slav3's root option....which in turn jcase cleaned it up even a little more .... why not just use these options ....

i just got my refurb today since i was no longer worried of losing root

so i will be doing it again when i get home

I'm not a computer noob, but I can't seem to get the SDK usb driver installed.

I downloaded and installed the usb driver through the SDK setup.exe. I enable usb debugging on the Eris, then plug in the Eris to the usb port. I get the windows needs to install the driver for adb. I go through the browsing to the SDK\tools\usb drivers folder and click next and get a usb driver not found error.

What am I doing wrong? I am using a Windows Vista Home Edition Premium 64 bit machine.

Yup I tried it, and worked great. Once I got to recovery I flash EngTools.zip instead of a regular rom so that way I keep all my data (no wipe) and have the phone root.

Try installing HTC Sync. It seems to be better at getting the right driver installed.
