First Impressions...
The Ultimate Screen Guard....the name says it all!!! It is one of the nicest screen guards/protectors I have used. It came in a small bubble wrap envelope and endured the shipping journey really well. The kit includes a screen guard, lint cloth, and the applicator. So, let's get the installation going...
The Ultimate Screen Guard features include...
Installation...
The installation process went pretty smooth and fast...I had the screen guard installed in less that 30 seconds. Initially I had little struggle getting the tiny lint/dust particles off the screen. It seemed the more I wiped the screen, the more they just followed me. Once I got past that, it was fast. The screen guard does not come 3-layer like the VZW one did, but just 2-layer. I started the install from top around the speaker, managed to align it nicely and then just slowly laid the rest of it down. The screen guard didn't even need the applicator as it is a static cling and went on without the air bubbles. I had a couple small ones around edges, but got rid of them with the applicator. Screen guard, being a static cling, makes it very easy to apply and remove. At the end, screen looked beautiful like I didn't even have anything on it.
Look and Feel...
As I mentioned above, the screen guard made the screen look bare...for a few reasons: one, it covered the whole screen even the navigation keys and around trackpad at bottom and second, it is very thin, which is great. Using the phone, there was no interference with touch screen sensitivity and it was as responsive and fast as it was without anything on it. The protector did collect a few fingerprints initially, I got those wiped and it was great. Another, amazing thing about the Seidio screen guard is the surface texture of it is really smooth, thus making the gliding of finger on it really smooth and not jerky.
Daily Usage...
After using it for a few days, I am still pleased...as it is one of the nicer screen guards/protectors I have used. One thing, I would suggest is may be adding the little dot for the trackpad, which people can use for camera lens protection. I also went out and tested the phone in day light and sun light. The screen had the natural glare, but icons and phone navigation was easy and visible. I did have Auto screen brightness enabled. So, to all you out there, check the Seidio Ultimate Screen Guard out as it beats the Verizon stock screen protector by far!!! I sure am keeping mine.
