How to use LauncherPro

Yeah it looks great but you cannot use any of the HTC Widgets, clock, etc. So I passed on it. I use those HTC Widgets too much.

Any widget that you use on sense, you can find an alternative to. I don't usually buy apps, but for 99 cents you can buy something that looks like this :

yeah launcher pro kicks ass! htc widgets are all replaceable with almost the same and or better ones. saves a good amount of system memory too.

thanks for the icon link, i've been messing around with different icons and that site looks good.

you can find alternative dock backgrounds here LauncherPro Forum • View topic - Share your custom dock backgrounds!

I will have to check it out, thanks!

You mean by stealing it then. Nice work. Way to support the developer.

Just FYI I did buy it and did support the developer. As the link states, "If you like the content, you must buy it from the original developer of the content."

I know the market has a 24 hour refund policy but most of the time, for me, that's not enough trial time to decide if I like the app or not. In this case the developer got my money because I was able to download and try it for longer.

If someone could direct me to a calender widget similar to the 1x4 HTC widget, please let me know. It is imperative that it operates the same and has a non-ameturish look, I'd then jump on this.

I'm not using it anymore, but I thought the Smooth Calendar widget was pretty similar, although it's not quite as pretty.

Quick question about the icons - on iconfinder.com there are many sizes, does launcherpro resize them or do I need to download a certain size?

They're automatically resized for you, which makes higher res icons look wonderful.

Have you tried the Smooth Calendar Widget? It syncs with your google cal. I cannot do without it, and it was one of the first things I installed as soon as I got my android. You can check it out here: Top Android App: Smooth Calendar Widget | Best Android Apps Review

if you DL'd icon packs, with the extension ".apk" they can also be used from launcher pro by choosing "icon packs" when you choose to change the icon. if you DL'd ".png" or ".jpg" you just need to place them in a folder in the root of your SD, or any other folder containing picyures, and they will show up when you choose the "custom icons" option.

If I missed the mark on your question, sorry, I didn't see anything else posted to clarify your question, so I took a guess at what was going on with your situation.
