Bestbuy.com has Black EVOs in stock

The problem is not that it's a different phone, guys, the problem is that it has been reported that the 4G is not working properly (or at all) on the white ones.

im pretty sure if that were true a lot of white evo owners would be reporting it, usually things get spread like wild fire when so and so says this and then once it hits the net people believe it.

The internet.

Actually that rumor is wrong infact the white one was in this weeks bestbuy papers stating 3G/4G

So then if you had heard the rumor, why would you reference the Best Buy circular? Why wouldn't you address the rumor, instead of parroting Best Buy's feature list? I'm just curious here, I don't actually have a horse in this fight. If the rumor is in fact false (and it may be), there would have to be a much more convincing argument than quoting Best Buy.

I was just confirming that the foodman wasn't making up stories, that I had heard about issues with the white Evo's 4G as well, as you guys seemed to be jumping all over him for starting some false rumor (that apparently you actually knew about).

Seriously? You default to 'all white evos are flawed because of what one guy said on the internet, unless i hear otherwise'?

How about you add some logic in here. How about assuming that the white evo is functionally equivalent to the black ones because that's what their tech specs say, and working from there?

I was just confirming that the foodman wasn't making up stories, that I had heard about issues with the white Evo's 4G as well, as you guys seemed to be jumping all over him for starting some false rumor (that apparently you actually knew about).

So there's no chance that there's one of two units not working, or perhaps, one or two users who don't know what they're doing? You just have to assume all white evos are fatally flawed.

Do you honestly think that if there was even the slightest hint of a problem with more than a handful of white evos WRT 4G that this wouldn't be all over the front page of every apple-suckling tech blog? I'm sure they'd love to have something to distract everyone from the iP4's hardware problems. Given that this has not happened, I'll take that as this being a non-issue over what some guy said on the internet, thanks.

I wasnt jumping all over him, i just stated that its just a rumor because if the white 4G indeed had no 4G what so ever then it would be all over the internet and press by now, theres a difference when someone says theres a problem with the white version not getting 4G and not having 4G, so I said Bestbuys ad stated 3G/4G if it would of just had 3G and no 4G in that same line then we can assume something was up.
