I was at a party taking a picture of the whole room. I was standing on a bar stool with my hands about face high. And when I took my finger off the side of the phone to push the shutter "button" the phone slipped and there she went....crashing to the tile floor below and bouncing numerous times. 2 of the "tabs" broke off of the corners of the exoskeleton...but the phone is fine. I can tell you right now, had there been no case, my phone would be in pieces. And very likely if it had been a lighter case(ie Innocase2), not sure it would have fared well.

Primary causal factor in this accident: ....not having a dedicated camera button!!! It is the complicated way in whichh you must hold the phone in order to touch the shutter button.

That, tex, was all you needed to say. $20 towards anything you want in the Android market says you're going to drop it and ding it up something fierce before next Saturday.

That and after reading this, I'm probably going to get one of those.

Yesterday, there was a really bad crash that happened about a hundred feet in front of me and my grandfather, one woman had to be taken out via life flight, the other we had to pull out of her car before it caught fire. That woman, the one we pulled out, had to use my phone to call her husband and what have you. I don't blame her at all, but she dropped my phone twice, and had dirt and glass still embedded in her hands while she used it. Needless to say, she was pushing down on the screen pretty hard, and shaking. I got a good 14 or 15 knicks on my screen, and it's got dirt and stuff on the edges.

I honestly think then, as much as I hate eating my own words, that a case and screen protector would have been nice.

Also a note to take; the screen doesn't work very well, or even at all if you have blood and dirt on your hands.

I would never drop my phone,no matter what:)

You are currently holding your phone; Two things happen: 1st, your most loved one is hurled to a spiraling doom, only to be saved if you utilize your left hand to grab and hold onto a rope. At the exact same moment your second most loved one is hurled to their doom, only to be saved if you utilize your right hand to grab and hold onto the other rope. Now, during this event you are completely naked, no pockets to place your phone in and you are suspended 100 stories in the air by a cable. The cables are impossible to hold onto with the phone still in your hand and your mouth has been taped shut and your legs have been spread eagle so that you can not hold on to the phone with your legs/knees. Basicly your only option is to A) 'drop your phone' save your loved ones B) Drope one of your loved ones and 'never drop your phone'.

this piece of fiction improbability brought to you by, boredom!

p.s. there is a tourist with a super telephoto lense taking pictures of you, directly from below! enjoy!

Hold it the same way as you would if you were on a phone call and you needed to use both hands!;) (Pin it ear to shoulder)

Dolphin HD remaps the volume rockers to scroll when you use it. I don't know why we can't have the volume rocker remap as the shutter button in camera mode.
