not sure if I'm missing any... feel free to add links you think are useful.

I'm interested in unlocking the aria, would like to see links and recommended sites on the subject.
So far, I know this can be unlocked by IMEI but with all the sites around and different prices for codes, one doesn't really know what is best or recommended.

My wife has this phone and I need to unlock it right away but could not decide yet where to buy or get the unlock code for this phone.

Any help highly appreciated in advance.

PS: for me first unlock, later to Root, first thing first and this is a whole new world for me.

Just to help out those who are confused about the DataPlus 200 MB for Smartphone plan:

Correction. If you have the "DataPlus 200 MB for Smartphone" plan, you are supplied 200 prepaid MB for each billing cycle for $15.00. However, if you go over 200 MB during your cycle, you are automatically given an extra 200 MB and charged $15.00 more at the end of your cycle. For every 200 MB over, you are again billed $15.00 more.

While using Palm Treo, it has one feature which I liked a lot - which is in case of direct dialing overseas, you can buy services or prepaid cards cheaper and use two step dialing.. from Favorite button... FIrst step is Punch in the 800# and then it has a provision for More digits and you can store the # you are calling there. this way you could automatically by dialing this Favorite #, you could get connected. I notice in Aria (Android) phone, I don't know how to do that...

Any suggestions please? Thank you.

Could anyone advise on how to transfer media files (photos/videos) from Palm Treo to Android based phones like HTC Aria.

Thank you.

The best way is to transfer from your Palm to your computer then from your computer to your Aria.

If your Treo is PalmOS based then download Palm Desktop and sync with your phone, I'm not positive where it will put all your media but it may be in:
C:\Program Files\Palm\*Profile Name*\BackupForInternal
or
C:\Program Files\Palm\*Profile Name*\offline copy location

Once you have them there just connect up your Aria and connect it as a disk drive, then just drop them on your Aria.

Edit: If it's a Windows based Treo then connect it up with Activesync and use the file explorer to download them to your computer.

Want to note for anyone looking for this that I was finally able to unlock the Aria, REALLY EASY!
found some info in another android forum (xda-dev) about ebay unlockers and after trying some of the website presence unlockers, finally bought a code form an ebay seller and it worked smoothly.
