Help why is there no charging light when i charge my droid x?

Isn't there supposed to be one? it charges without any LED on. Another odd thing is when I'm in meebo I get a purple LED when I get a message.

I charged it from 60% to full and there was no LED on at all. Is there something in the settings that's causing this? I have silent mode on (but it surely can't be that right?) this is kind of weird.

really!? yeah isn't that weird!? Yeah hopefully the OTA will fix it!

hm. I don't have a dock.

Could someone please post here confirming that they actually see a LED on while charging? I looked through the quick start guide and there was nothing mentioning it.

It seems like it would be pretty outlandish for motorola not to have a charging light, so clearly this is limited to a certain number of phones =/ hm.
