Help Profile Images in Google Voice App

Is there a way to get facebook profile pictures into your gmail contacts? The main reason why I want them is for texting in the google voice app looks very plain without personal images.

I tried just putting in my own images into my gmail contacts to see if they would show up in the google voice app and they still dont show up. My ideal situation would be to use the facebook pictures, but if I need to I will go the second route of putting individual images into my gmail contacts and sync them that way, but I can't get either to work

Yup, and when I go and look in google voice it doesn't display the picture. I even tried refreshing the app, turning my phone off and on and creating a new thread of texts to a contact I had added a picture too and it still didnt work

Try removing and readding a contact pic in Gmail. See if they show up then.

Removed the picture and readded it to the contact. Then I restartedmy phone, refreshed google voice and started a new thread, and still nothing....

I haven't received a X yet.

This might be a better question for the Google Voice support groups. I'm going to keep digging though. There's been a few people I know that have see the same issue, just no resolution.

Hmmmm, try this:

Go into your google voice account
Edit a contact to and add a +1 to the front of the number.

Example:

Original number 555-867-5309
New number +1-555-867-5309

See if the contact picture will display then.

Tried that, didn't work. I found this other thread that basically says that if you have a facebook profile linked to the contact then your gmail contact pic wont show up:

Pretty much all of my friends who I text on a regular basis are all on my facebook as well....
