So I switched from Verizon to Sprint at Best Buy about 6 days ago. I got a Blackberry curve which I exchanged 3 times and I'm still not happy with it. I've decided to get the evo and just my luck no best buys around me have it. I was just wondering do I HAVE to get the evo from bestbuy since I opened my account there? I'm not the account holder. If I return my blackberry at best buy can I still get the evo for 199.99 from some where else. I'm not inpatient its just I have 24 days until I can't return this blackberry crap.

No ... you can go to any Sprint or Radioshack store that has them, just give them your current Sprint account info.

At Sprint, you will have to pay the higher price and send in a rebate. But it's not too bad, they send you a personal check for the $$.

So i will still be able to get the 199.99 price tag at radio shack when I give them my account info?

You might want to call Sprint since you already activated through Best Buy, but since you're still within your 30 days, you should be able to just return the BlackBerry and go somewhere else. You are a Sprint customer, you shouldn't be locked to Best Buy. Maybe call a Radioschack to find out as well, it should all be automatic when they pull up your account on their computers.

Edit: Oh ... and if you want good insurance, I would go through Sprint. The TEP covers water and accidental damage.

Thanks man. I'll call Sprint tomorrow morning. Again thanks! So excited about getting the evo.
