so i have my x in a cheap hard case til outterbox makes one....has anyone droped their phone yet? if so....how did it hold up? was there any damage?

Did anyone buy Verizon's clear case? I've had problems with those half snap on cases design. when i dropped it, the case would split and scratch my fone...

Yes. With no case my son dropped it about 3 feet onto low-pile carpet. No damage at all thankfully.

Had it less than 2 hours before I dropped it on the floor. I'm a terrible klutz and had it in a case and screen cover as soon as I took it out of the box.

had it sitting on the coffee table, plugged into my laptop. knocked it off walking by, it swung around and hit one of the metal bars. i did have the cheap neoprene case from Verizon on it. no damage!!!

Yeah. I needed to carry something and had no pockets saw the bed nearby and decided to lightly toss on to it. Yeah it landed and ever action has a reaction. The reaction was the bed deciding to launch it and on to the wall then a hardwood floor. My heart sank. The whole time it was happening it was im slowmo. No damage scratches or anything. Needless to say it gets gently set down now.

So...I rant and rave about this phone to my mother for two months...
And tell her that she can have my droid when I get it.
I pre-ordered from BestBuy and picked it up when they opened.
My mom gets hers from Verizon the same day. What a jerk...
Lol, anyway...
She dropped hers on our concrete basement floor.
I inspected it while laughing at her clumsiness...and there isn't even a scratch. Props to the X.

I dropped my at Wal-Mart it bounced, but was fine. I have no case on it, only screen protector. Not a single mark on the X.

I dropped it about 3.5 feet onto ceramic tile..sans cover and screen protector, and ZERO marks, scratches etc.

glad to see that its holding up well i don't plan on dropping it but i was just curious. and i love my cheap hard case. i got it off ebay and it snaps on tight. for $5.99 u cant beat it......its black and i hope it saves me if the x ever decides to take the jump. lol

I accidentally dropped it earlier! The phone was perfectly fine, but the cheap case that VZ gave me broke. So I have the phone naked for now but I plan on purchasing a better quality case when I have the money.

I like reading that the phone can be dropped 3.5 feet onto a very hard surface and take no damage. Good job Moto

I was at the pool and dropped it about 2 feet onto the concrete. The top edges are slightly scuffed. I also dropped it from my lap while getting out of my SUV. Again very light scuff but no impacts on the screen.
