Help Movies on X

SO here's the deal, with the iPod setting the audio is in sync with the voices, but at a higher quality its not. Has anybody else ripped at a high quality and had it play right on the phone? If you have let me know which program you used and what settings! Got to get Firefly onto this phone fast :)

Just make your own profile in Handbrake for 854x480. It looks excellent.

Here's a sample I made back when the Droid just came out. A little clip from 'Up', from a 720p source:

MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Hey did you ever try the whole movie? Was it an HD quality one or DVD quality?
I obtained many HD movies last night but when I use Handbrake apart from taking an hour to convert them they turn up F'ed up. The length of the movie grows 3 fold and the audio is all jacked up like super slow motion. I think its taking the audio and streching it out. PLEASE HELP! I have a plane to catch tomorrow morning im trying to get many things done today, including putting like 6 movies on my Droid X

Yes, all my source files are 720 or 1080p .mkv's.

I've converted tons of them using Handbrake and have rarely had issues.

I can post up my encoding profile when I get home tonight.

That's full of fail. The downloaded application linked to ANOTHER application web page for download. It says it watermarks the video if you don't pay the $35.

I'm trying VLC right now, I hope this works.

Maybe handbrake can convert an avi to mp4 or something. I'm not so sure VLC is converting correctly.... UGH.

WHY IS THIS SO HARD!!!!!

This is one of the biggest areas that android fails in. I know that when Windows Phone 7 comes out all you have to do is put it in the Zune software and it converts it for your device. It does this now with the Zune media player.

All the other free stuff failed, and failed HARD.

I figured out the "remove menu" setting in the free VLC player. Working like a charm right now :D:D

Again: handbrake keep giving errors about 10 mins into the conversion. And the other one originally wanted IIRC $55, but a 15 day trial. The dvd conversion button actually linked to a website to download ANOTHER program, and they said for free, the video is watermarked.

I think I'm good here with VLC!
