Don't buy it. Garbage.

The protector inhibits functionality. The screen is less sensitive and more sticky.

I bought a case for my Pre off ebay, and the case itself was garbage, but it came with a plasticized screen protector that was perfectly smooth and slick, and didnt inhibit functionality.

The EZ Guards protector on the other hand is not smooth at all, as it is more of a rubberized, or soft/elastic-like plastic instead. Furthermore, installation require pushing out bubbles with a credit card, and to get them all out you have to push kind of hard which stretches it and causes permanent ripples in the plastic that distort the screen into making little rainbows everywhere.

I wish I knew where to get a screen guard like I had on my Pre.

What about invisible shield by zagg? I had one installed on my last touch screen phone and it worked great. Pricey, but they'll install it for you at a mall kiosk.

i doubt it would work well for a capacitive screen. its has a soft sticky texture and over time it got really nasty. i had it on a samsung eternity when i was with ATT and it def wasnt worth the pricetag.

i cant say with 100% certainty about the experience on the HERO, but i know i wont be buying another one with what i had before.

that's what i'm talking about, the soft sticky texture.

the one on the Pre was a harder, slicker plastic. the best way i could describe is that the zagg/ez guards if folded in half would leave a crease but the plastic would likely not discolor much whereas the pre one would turn white at the crease when folded in half. do you know what i mean?

YOU WILL HATE IT! I had the invisble sheild for my instinct and my instinct hd...its to sticky to swipe on the screen I hated it. They work great on the rest on the phone (when it stays on!) I personally wouldnt waste my money on it.

I can say from personal experiance, bodyguardz works absolutely GREAT on my hero. This was teh first time I have tried anything like this and I really took my time with it. I installed the whole body kit and you can't tell there is anything covering the phone by looking or by functionality of the screen. Great product. Fingers glide along the screen as if it were naked.

I agree. It's very sticky to the touch and completely ruins the phone's user experience. I took it off within a day. The best protector I've used before was the free one that came with my HTC Touch. But, I've decided to go naked on the Hero. After all, the phone is meant to be used, isn't it?

I want to buy the bodyguardz for my hero but I cant find any videos...this will be my first time putting a full screen protector on any phone. Can someone post a video?? Or can someone tell me where I can watch one (on the hero not the iPhone)

I don't think there are any of the Hero yet. I found a bunch on the itouch and iphone. The process is the same regardless. This was my first time using any type of protector and I installed the entire bodyguardz kit on my hero. I really took my time and it came out perfectly, no air bubbles at all, and very clear. I even attached the small pieces for the top and bottom and the piece that goes over the camera. Just watch a few of the bodyguardz videos on youtube. And give it a try, its not hard, just be patient.
