best way to overclock fresh 2.3.3 ?

What is the best way to overclock Fresh 2.3.3? I am just looking for something I can flash once and be done with it. Want it to make the phone faster and get better battery life. Is 710 kernel/OC Widget combo best? Looking for links... Thanks! looking for something like gumbo custom kernel...

Unless I'm mistaken (and I could be), Fresh is already overclocked. To take full control of it, you simply need to use OC Widget to control the clock speeds.

If I'm wrong, someone please correct me. I haven't used a Fresh ROM in 6 months

Fresh rom will only go upto 528mhz with OCwidget and Setcpu. You need to have a custom kernel.

Flash the #15 kernel and calibrate/wipe after full charge battery should be good to go. IIRC that worked best for me when running fresh 2.3.3

i've tried both...and have good success but ended up going back to normal cause of force close issues.

I am using the second one with no issues..you just need to run OC Widget with it and set the frequencies manually, then no issues...

I have mine set at 710 (max) 245 (min) with screen on, 480 (max) and 245 (min) screen off, using OC Widget.

Different freq Screen off=ON
Use your Frequencies=ON
Auto start on Boot=ON
Then SAVE

the force closes weren't that severe...i'm just really picky about roms. i like everything to work. i still go back to the 710, which has had less FC than the other one. just try it, but make a nandroid before you do.

trying to use overclockwidget, and I added it to the home screen like it said, tapped it like it said to, and I keep getting the how to use pop up

what am I missing?

So... I use the overclock widget on Fresh 2.1.2 and although it only goes to 528 I'm happy with it. I know that everywhere tells you not to use it but I couldn't live without it. Every once in a while it'll mess up and i'll have to tell it to right itself but it works great.

I use the 710mhz vUV2 with both Fresh and ZenheroFX with no issues, also, as long as you flash that module remover zip before any of these kernels then there is no need to use any OC app as these scale appropriately by themselves.

What is the module remover zip?

So, to install this, these are the steps I've read about so far:

0. Backup
1. Wipe factory settings and dalvik cache
2. flash fresh 2.3.3
3. reboot
4. turn off and boot into RA
5. flash module remover?????
6. reboot
7. boot into RA
8. Flash DarchKernel vUV 710mhz with Free Memory Tweak For Fresh 2.1.1/2.1.2/2.3.3

9. reboot

What else do I need to do?
