Help Help! Stuck at the "HTC Incredible" Screen

I've had the phone since launch day with no problems. No suddenly, it's being weird. Yesterday I kept trying to answer a call and the other line would be dead. Then when I would try to cal the person back, there was a horrible high pitch buzzing noise in the speaker. So I did a battery pull and that seemed to fix it.

Now today, I turned the phone on and it' stuck on the initial "HTC Incredible" screen. It won't get past the screen. Has this happened to anyone?

The phone is not rooted. Thanks!

I've been having the same exact issue starting sometime last week and getting worse every day. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with signal, etc. like the other reset issues... like you, I keep getting a "HTC Incredible" screen - reboot loop. I can have it up doing heavy tasks for hours on end sometimes, and out of nowhere, it goes back into the loop.

Did going back to your OEM battery completely resolve the issue? I've been using mine since launch day, and if that seemed to alleviate your problem then I think I'm going to get another battery and see if that's mine.

Sigh.

So far using the OEM battery seems to have solved the problem, but our issues sound a little different. Mine did not reboot itself; it got stuck on the "HTC Incredible" launch screen after I manually turned the unit off and back on again. I like to turn it off once a day while charging. I've had the OEM battery in for two days, and it hasn't happened again . . . but I also have not turned the unit off.

Yeah, it would appear that I have a combination of problems. My phone reset on it's own again at around 11PM last night ("what is that vibrating?" I thought as it looped over and over and over) and never came out of it.

I called into VZW this morning, talked to a tech and told him I had already tried a hard reset, and he has a new one on the way.

I hope I don't have this issue again... absolutely fantastic phone minus this stupid little bug.
