Back button lifting and getting damaged

Anyone else have their HTC Desire back button getting damaged.

The metal appears to be lifting and getting damaged. Tried to push it down so it does not catch on anything, but it does not seem to help.

Its always in a case and has no damage........on the phone to HTC support at the moment and sent them picks. Waiting on a reply at the moment.

Mine is fine, looks like the process they use to get the metal film on the button hasn't bonded the 2 together properly.
Used to work in the plastic molding industry, looks like quality control missed that one.
Probably one of the first ones of a run after the machine has been restarted after a weekend or holiday break.

Got the phone from CPW and its cosmetic. It won't be done under warranty but could send the phone off for 5 days to get it changed. Can't live that long without a phone just for a button.

don't give up so easily - you have been fobbed off.

It is NOT reasonable for this button to have become damaged within such a short time with , what I assume , is normal wear and tear.

HTC's attitude also disappoints me - however the contract of sale is with CPW - get back to them and firmly and quietly demand a replacement or they fix it pronto, gratis and with a loan phone while it's being done.
