MS Exchange and Moving emails to folders

Ok, here we go I took the plunge and returned my iPhone 4 today and got the SC. As a past Blackberry user as well I have basic functionality needs of a email app and this may be the deal breaker.

I have my Exchange account setup and working however when I open or select an email there is no option to move the email to a folder. So am I blind or screwed! My brother has an HTC Incredible and his has an option to Move... Did Samsung hide it?

This is not a "Samsung" thing, but an Android 2.1 thing. There is limited support for ActiveSync built into it. If you need full features, then you'd be better off using a client like TouchDown. You can also look at RoadSync. Once 2.2 comes out, some things will get better, but I think there are still a few things that are lacking.

So does that mean moving emails to folders will be supported in 2.2? Its a deal breaker for me...

Aria has 2.1 and it supported moving email to folders. This is a choice by Samsung I'd guess.

the HTC mail app supports most of the exchange policies seen on the iphone or WinMo. Unfortunately, stock android and its other offerings from samsung, motorola, etc do not have this mail app and do not work with most companies.

Either download touchdown or moxier mail to get faux exchange on your phone or wait for Froyo 2.2, which will have full Exchange support

How much Exchange support is there for Android 2.1? Will there be an issue with my contacts, and calendar syncing up? I currently have an iphone and this is how I have been managing my contacts for a few years now.

I can see my folders and open mail that's in them but not move the mail from inbox to folder.
About the Aria, it's possible that different exchange features work on different hardware.
A coworker has a Droid running 2.1 and when she tried to setup exchange, it said that her phone doesn't support some of the security features required and closed.
I used the same process on my Captivate and it worked fine.

I picked up Captivate couple of days back. Moving from Windows Mobile 6.5. Exchange set up was a breeze. email, contacts and calendar works great (waltflanagansdog). I did notice the lag in opening/browsing/sending emails when compared to windows. Handling of folders annoyed me to the limit. I am now using Touchdown (demo version) - Folders work close to windows experience. Not happy overall. Phone freezes when touchdown opens - sometimes a message pops saying touchdown process is unresponsive. Overall email/contact experience is inferior to windows phone experience.
