Dropped Droid x on the fking asphalt.

Well.. I guess my pocket wasn't deep enought for Herbet to dig in. So it fell out of my pocket when I got out of the car. Minor stratch on the left corners and the top rubber is a bit dented.

So I turned Droid X on and it's fine, so I guess I got lucky, but still.. there's no way I can fix the metal casting? Is there a way to buff and polish it?

Just get a case for it and cover up the scrapes and it will protect it from further, unavoidable drops.

Sucks man. I had a scare myself this morning. I dropped it on the hard tile floor in the middle of the school and the battery cover went flying. Luckily it came away unscathed....

I need to start looking for cases. I wasn't too impressed with the ones the guy showed me at the Verizon store. I think he said something about them also covering up certain buttons. Kinda ******ed....

Agreed. I got that nice Verizon silicon case and couldn't be happier.

Return to the store, and exchange for a new one. Its a defect
