Hey all, I made a post a while about an HTC Droid Incredible I ordered for my son. Well, I'm back, this time with more problems.
I'll cut right to the chase this time, after ordering my son's phone I noticed that I had a $100 New Every Two discount still on my line. I looked into it and found that the discount can be transferred between lines. With this in mind, I cheerfully called Verizon customer service to ask if the NE2 Discount could be attributed to the order I place for my son's Droid about a week and a half ago. Unfortunately, the woman told me that orders placed could not be modified or canceled. I was sad that day
Instead, however, what she told me to do was to order the phone on my line and to refuse the other phone that I had previously ordered. She told me that the second order would only come a day or two after the first order, so it would still be in time for my son's birthday. It sounded like a fair deal, but before I do so, I have a few questions I hope you guys can answer.
1. I have heard that the new Droid Incredibles are shipping with a lower quality screen in order to facilitate the massive amount of orders. Is this true and if so, will it be a noticeable difference for my son?
2. Are there any hidden charges the woman didn't tell me about? I don't trust Verizon in the least...
3. When I ordered my son's phone, I was asked to select a texting and data plan along with insurance. When I went to re-order the phone today, I was asked to do the same thing. Are these plans attributed to the specific line or the phone? Because I already ordered unlimited data and texting for my son's number but I don't want to double up the charges by putting them on my line too.
I realize these may be more general Verizon questions, but I'm really confused right now and I'm just hoping you guys can help me out. This phone business is a damn mess . Well, thanks to everyone in advance for any help you guys can offer. I really, really appreciate it!
