Help 42% of battery used by voice call?!

Wow, my droid X has been sucking down juice something crazy. Looked at the batter manager and saw that 42% of my batter had been eated by voice calls according to battery manager.

Anyone else noticing this? Im suspecting I have a dud because my wife was on her X all day with it on vibrate and hers still lasted longer than mine.

How long was the voice calls? My longest call time during the day was 11 minutes and mine said 67% for voice calls.

remember that voice calls in a week signal area @ 1X will drain the battery more quickly..

I made about a total of 11 minutes worth of calls during the day. We literally sit right on top of a cell tower, so im not so sure what the issue is. Hoping this recently installed update will fix it.

Last night before applying the update my phone showed the battery with less than 10%. The updated prompted so i plugged the phone in. When the update finish it showed 60% ??

Do you mean 42% of your "total battery life" (from 100% down to 42%), or do you mean 42% of the "total battery life lost" since last charged. (100% down to 80% battery with 42% of that loss being from voice calls)

If you mean the latter then it seems normal. My battery manager shows that 63% of the battery life lost was from voice calls.
