Hey,
So I have a few questions about the output. I see that the phone has the capability to record in 720p and the HD Out allows you to play this on an HDTV, but according to this article... Droid X HDMI-Out Is Crippled To Play Only Videos Or Display Photos Taken On The Device | Android News, Reviews, Applications, Games, Phones, Devices, Tips, Hacks, Videos, Podcasts - Android Police ... it can only be used for photos and videos YOU take on the phone. So if I have downloaded HD movies, even using the HDMI Out, it will come in standard definition? Why would they do this? Is the plan for this to be permanent? Will you need two cords then (one from HDMI Out, one for micro-usb?)
Another question, this one for SlingBox users. It would be much more convenient just carrying phone (+ charger) + HDMI Out than a whole laptop, but I wonder if it would be choppy. What's the quality with slingbox on the mobile devices? As good as can be expected, or just flat-out good? If this HDMI Out problem from the top paragraph gets worked out, would it work to go slingbox -> phone -> HDMI Out -> HDTV, and would this work well?
Lastly, I read some complaints on the Droid Incredible forum about emulators not responding well (too choppy) not working well with the microUSB to TV that was recently released. Any experience with the quality of this on the Droid X?
Thanks!
