Root Froyo with Sense ROM

Ok, i have rooted my phone but since doing so havent had any use for it....i was just excited to mess around with my phone on receiving it.


Question im wondering now though, is it worth installing the latest froyo with sense release, or should i wait for the official?

If the answer is yes its worth it, what rom should i use? Im confused with what's the most current and stable release?

Depends how you define "worth it". What are you looking to achieve? How concerned are you by bugs?

IMO yes it is worth installing a sense 2.2 rom, after all, what is the point of rooting it, as you say yourself, you have had no use for it.... There are a number of froyo with sense roms knocking about on XDA most notably this one.

its totally up to you which rom you choose, look on the rom specs to see what is included, and then decide which one would be right for you. I am using the former, and have to say that i am very very happy with what i have.

I agree it is very worth while going for a custom rom, both of those are very good choices.

Im using the official one on XDA by AdamG, its fantastic. Been using it for the past week. So glad I rooted, my phones loads faster, nice adding things like themes and percentage circle battery mod etc.

Does anyone know of a good stable rom WITHOUT facebook ,twitter, friendstream, stocks, flikr, footprints, peep? Im interested in just the basics and i can install stuff from the market that i want. Thanks

I don't think facebook and twitter can be removed from the sense ROMs because they're well integrated with the system. Such as for contacts syncing, etc.

I have looked into that. Are the ROMs stable or are there bugs? Did you get a ROM from the kitchen or from someone else?

I got mine from the kitchen, you and I must be very similar because I didn't want any of the stuff you don't want either

The rom is extremely stable and I'm very pleased with it.

Im trying the Froyo sense ROM from opendesire and have noticed a problem with bluetooth handsfree calling. when the phone transfers numbers to my car it make all the number 0XX-XXX-XXXX. Then i cant call anyone this way because the dash's mess the number up? Any idea's?
