Hi all ^^
Sorry for double posting but .... I am getting an unlocked phone in a few months and was hoping some ppl would give me some advice on which phone to buy... galaxy s or xperia x10 ??
Please give ur honest opinions.

Here are my pros and cons
Xperia X10
+ Awesome camera (i love taking photos so a good camera is a must)
+ I love the design (white one is hot)
+ Has a dedicated shutter key
No multitouch (doesnt really affect me much.. unless it is used in a game, and i dnt think are there many anyway)
- Internal memory is only 1Gb.. i store alot of stuff on my phone (music and videos) and i am aware an 8Gb sd card is included but apps only work when installed on the phone memory not memory card... im probably going to download a lot of apps and im not sure 1Gb will suffice)
- 1.6 android though i am aware of the upgrade in Q3 or Q4 so i guess this shouldnt be added.
- Specs are usually lower than galaxy s

Galaxy S
+ Way more internal storage
+ Specs are generally higher than xperia x10
+ Thinner (i love thin phones)
- Hate the design (no way as good as the xperia x10 design)
- Camera not as good
- No dedicated camera key

Can't really comment on what to get as I only know the X10 but I have over 60 apps that I have added not including preinstalled apps and I have only used up 40% of the memory so that's over 120 apps you can add.

Multi touch is nice to use and there are loads of emulator games X10 owners will never get to play even something daft like the piano app on the X10 it will always be single keys to press but with multi touch you can play several cords at once.

I'm pretty sure you can install apps on the memory card or at least a lot of the apps dump lots of files on it the main core files might be on the internal memory but I've found a lot of stuff from apps on my memory card.

Having said that the galaxy does look tempting, i'd try them both out in a shop and have a look at some reviews for the galaxy.

Thats really interesting to hear cos there is soooo much negative stuff on here about how bad the X10 is, its kinda reassuring that it still beats some of the competition - especially a new supposedly shiny, slick device like the Samsung.

It horses for courses I guess - there will be die hard fans of any phone, heaven forbid - even the new Iphone with its dodgy aerial;-) what it comes down to is what works for you. I bored the pants off the guy in the TMobile shop trying to decide between X10 and HTC Desire. But what it came down to was feel in the hand and looks - I know nothing really about the inside of a phone (altho I have learnt much more thanks to the forum peeps!) so yes my choice made upon nothing more than gut instinct.

Like all things important in life.... go for the one that makes you feel happier. And that will be different for us all.
