Trackball opening google search or smart dial

Whenever I press the trackball to select something, either google search opens or smart dial. This really is frustrating because the only way to take a picture using the camera is by pressing the trackball. I've even tried to download other camera apps to find an onscreen button.

I've looked everywhere and haven't seen a similar issue or a way to change the default settings for the trackball. Any ideas?

You can also take a photo by longpressing on the screen. You should longpress in the area where you want the focus, as this is what the camera does.

I have no idea about your trackball issues.
