Help Battery -> 100%-0% in 4Hours - bad battery??

Not using or enabled: No Wifi, No BT, No GPS, Battery Saver Mode, No Live Wallpaper, No Task Killer Apps, no other battery monitoring apps.

Fully, 100% charged at 10AM, left for offsite meeting. Phone shut itself off with Dead battery about 2 PM.

Pulled Battery, reinstalled, nothing... Plugged in phone when got back PC (USB) and just have a Solid Green LED, but can't get power back on.

Did it DIE already?

Does the solid green LED mean anything...been 20 mins or so and still can't power phone on.
that is what mine did after it locked up during the update...I found (on the moto site) a trouble shooter that checks your phone. I plugged my phone in and it ran the check. It said your device needs the latest software. well about that time my phine went black. except for the green light. I have a replacement coming from VZW but its back ordered until the 27th on my status update... Good luck I would take it to the store if I were you. Or calll tech support..

The answer to your question can be found by substituting a single character in your title...

100% - 0% in 4Hours = bad battery

I called 611 and talked to a guy there...he walked me thru all the normal settings that affect batter life. Said it should be longer.

I told him I'd do another FULL charge and see if the batter life was "similar". if it was, he suggested taking it into a V*Store. We are headed for a weekend away from home, but I assume I can find a Verizon store in San Diego (or along the 8 hour drive from here to there).

what "normal settings that affect better life" did he recommend? my battery drops like (insert cliche here). will verizon exchange a droid x if i didn't purchase it from verizon directly?

Brightness, screen timeout, live wallpapers, Wifi/GPS/BT, etc.... he also said that himself and all of the other phone reps for Verizon were using the "Advanced Task Killer" app and recommended it regardless of what the "internet forums" were telling people (I don't use one).

Just as a test I took mine when fully charged and ran everything I could think of. I was bluetooth tethering while surfing the internet on my pc, had the GPS on, had the led flash on constantly, was playing a movie and had a few other things running on the phone. The phone actually got pretty hot to the touch and after 2 hrs I was only down to 80%. I dont think I could possibly kill my battery in less than 6 hrs.

In my opinion your battery, or the phone is bad.
