I stopped in to the AT&T store today to pick up a pack of screen protectors. The store here is always busy and you have to sign in to get waited on. The manager approached me and I told him all I needed was a pack of screen protectors for my captivate. He asked how I liked it. While surrounded by other customers I told him how I was so happy with it and how I can't believe that I suffered through a year and a half with an iphone. I went on to tell him how fast it was and how great the apps were. He smiled nervously and watched the group huddled around the iphone4 demo unit absorb every word I had to say. We skipped the sign in and he took me strait to the register to ring me out.
Funny how they still push that damn iphone and ignore the android.
Yep - I KNOW what you mean.
When I picked up my Cappy on Monday, I was waiting in line, and overheard a "consultant" (yeah right) telling a client looking at the i4 and the Cappy, that the iPhone was much faster, had more memory, etc..
I finally blew up, and corrected him on EVERY SINGLE THING.
Ya know, if you're gonna sell it, freaking read a thing or two at least...
Dude was PISSED! he even told the couple that there was a 10% restocking fee on the i4, and I corrected him on that, he insisted, so I dialed up 611 on my backflip on speaker, and proved him wrong in front of EVERYONE in the store.
Jerk - learn some shiznit before you misguide people!
Not that I'm anti-iPhone, as I even showed there was NO restocking fee, against the $35 on the Captivate! It's just, I mean, if you're going to DO A JOB, freaking do it right, or don't do it at all.
The manager, for me, has been a super guy, and super helpful, so I told him if he wanted, I could give them an intro to Android and the Captivate whenever they wanted, even before opening the store on some morning.
We'll see if he takes me up on it...
