I am waiting and waiting for a CaseMate case for my EVO. I am currently using the hard case from Best Buy and at first it was sweet, but now the case is loose and the case will not even stay together most of the time ( I have not dropped it). I am dying for them to release the higher end cases, but was curious if anyone was using the Barely There case from CaseMate? Is it good or bad? Could it handle a drop to the pavement & offer any type of impact resistance? I am honestly waiting on the tough case, but would settle for anything Casemate.

Thanks

Why not Seidio's cases?

Isn't the hard case the op is describing the Best Buy Platinum case? If so then that IS a Seidio Innocase.

I just have no experience with Seidio. The cases look okay, but I know what a quality product Case mate makes. Sorry about your shipping delay, that sucks big time.

The case you are using now is a Seidio. They are trash.

Its in stock right now....

If you get it, can you let me know if it is hard to put on? Because I bought a white case from Sprint (The one with the white carbon fiber look with the chrome.) and that case put scratches on my phone and took off my invisible shield.

The only reason I ask this is because it looks like the Barely There case is the same design... so I don't want the same thing happening.

I have the case mate. I like it although i have only used this so i cant compare it to anything else. The case protects the back (including the camera), vertical sides and corners. I only dropped it on the carpet so Im not sure how it will really hold up to a fall. The case itself wasnt hard to put on and I would think the a high drop on the ground may cause the case to come off. Also, some cases seem the protect the screen by extending beyond the screen but since this is pretty much flush with the surface of the screen you dont get that protection so a drop with the screen faced down wont be protected. If you are concerned about dropping then you may want to wait for the rugged case-mate. If you just want some level of protection without adding bulk to the phone then get the barely-there case.

Does the case offer any type of felt our rubber on the inside? I know it fits really snug, so I was wondering if it is going to rub against the phone and cause scuffs and scratches. Thanks

buttons are hard to press. cut outs are all too small. There's just no need to have them that small. There's better TPU cases out there for overall fit. If you gotta have that frosted back you'll have to make some mods to make the buttons work well and to fit better headphones in the jack.

Yeah, I had the second revision of the Sedio Innocase II...what a piece of crap. I got this: Coverz N' Lidz: HTC EVO 4G TPU Style Case

Best case I have found.

For those looking for a "case-mate" like solution, I have some in that are very nice.
