I recently upgraded to the sprint 2.1 RUU (ver 5, not ver 6), & im rooted, & have a custom recovery image. Ive done a nandroid backup, & a Titanium Backup, as well as syncing up w/ google/gmail, & also did a backup w/ "Lookout" <-- antivirus app.

I have cleaned my phone from everything I dont want or need, like NFL, NASCAR, teeter, nav panal, stock, etc, using "root explorer" to do so.

I have my phone like I like it, runs smooth, no issues, nada,,, so my ? is;

Should I upgrade to Fresh Hero 233, whats the pros & cons, & if i do update, do i go back & flash this http://www.4shared.com/file/FJKgIYTJ/Fresh_vUV_768_M.html to my phone after i update to 2.3.3 or what, how does that work.

And once ive installed the necessary files, how do i restore my apps/data,,, do i do a nandroid restore, or do i just restore w/ titanium backup.

sorry for sounding stupid, but whats the step by step process on installing fresh 2.3.3 & http://www.4shared.com/file/FJKgIYTJ/Fresh_vUV_768_M.html <-- if its needed, & then restoring my apps/data/contacts

i mean, i know how to install 233, just need the steps for how each install should be done, & if its necessary to install http://www.4shared.com/file/FJKgIYTJ/Fresh_vUV_768_M.html & then the steps to restore my phone, b/c i dont want to install any of the 2.1 stuff Titanium backup backed up if you follow.

also, if i go to 2.3.3, do i need to root my phone again?

Whats wrong with my cam? I doesn't show anything no matter what camera app I use. And also my phone shuts off 5 to 6 times a day and its not even dead. Is anyone else having these problems with this rom.

Also I had fresh 1.1 and went to 2.3.3 Is there anything else I need to do besides a nandroid backup and a data wipe/restore?

ok... first of all, if you have your phone the way you want it... then really there's no reason to flash Fresh 2.3.3.. Fresh 2.3.3 does add friendstream (although I find it pointless). Fresh 2.3.3 does allow you to change the lock screen to the standard vanilla one that every other android phone has.. but you have to not use the HTC clock and use the vanilla clock for alarms.. the 768 kernel you linked to isn't needed.. unless you plan on overclocking your phone (eats up battery faster and causes heat.)

as far as the steps.. you mentioned titanium backup.. you can pick and choose what to restore and what not to restore with titanium backup.. so just restore the apps you want..

what I do is, boot to recovery, make a nandroid backup. wipe data, wipe davlik and then flash the rom. once signed in, get titanium from the market and restore. All google contacts will download from google once you log in the first time.

if you then decide that Fresh isn't for you... boot into recovery and restore that nandroid backup you made right before flashing Fresh.. that will take you right back to the exact phone you had when the backup was made.

no idea. I haven't heard of anyone having camera issues with 2.3.3. for me in Fresh 2.3.3 the default camera app works great. since you also have the phone shutting down on it's own, I would wipe and reflash. then make sure the camera works before adding any apps. once that is working, then add your apps one at a time and see if one of them breaks it again or causes the phone to shut down.

So I did what you said and the cam worked at first but then it stopped and i restarted it and then It worked. But im still having the problem that imy phone likes to turn off. It does it when the phone is on standby and then i go to use it and it just randomly reboots. I dont know what to do. I really like this rom but I cant stand it turning off when I go to use my phone. I dont know why im the only one having this problem.

Also should I erase everything off of my sd card. Im just wondering if anything on there could be causing this?

Thanks

28+ hours on mine.. I would fully charge the battery.. boot into recovery, wipe battery stats and then let it run until dead. that might help a bit.

Ok followed what u said and still have some pretty weak battery compared to before. I performed the steps and rebooted around 2:30p yesterday, with mild to heavy usage it finally died around 12:30a. So that's like 10hrs which isn't the worse. But I still want a little more out the battery

Is anyone having issues with facebook updating pictures on the contacts and having image quality when making a call?

It's not the ROM, Facebook sync for HTC Sense is broken at the moment. Everyone who's flashed a new sense-based ROM since yesterday is having the same problem. I've tried a couple of different ones, same result with each.
