ringer profile like blackberry

i am using EAR and a great app that works with it is Missed Reminder. EAR is the closest thing i can find to the BB sound profiles and Missed Reminder is A+. The profile you have in use on EAR will overwrite any sound settings you have in missed reminder which is great. Saves you from having to go into missed reminder to turn the sounds off when you just want your phone to vibrate. I'm loving them both

Locale can be setup using other settings besides just GPS. It can use the cell towers or WiFi to determine your location, and those methods use less battery. You can have it switch profiles based on time of day and calendar entries too.

I have mine setup to switch between profiles based on the time of the day. I have it set to go silent 15 minutes before I start work, and switch back to my default profile at the end of the work day.

is there an app like blackberrys ringer profile, so u can set which notifications of how u want them to notify u like volume, number of rings, vibrates, led blink?

I found an application called quick profiles that sounds like what you are looking for. It allows you to create your own ringer profiles, then when you open up the app, it lists the profiles you have created. touch the profile you want and there ya go.

It just takes too much time. Tasker is beautiful when it comes to that. I can create the equivalent of complicated programs within minutes. It took me less than half an hour to write all of these and get the logic to work. You simply cannot do this in Java. Think of this way -- Takser is doing 85% of the stuff that you will have to write by hand. It simply doesn't make sense. If Tasker couldn't create widgets out of tasks, I probably would write it as a stand alone program.

By the way, over 50,000 people have downloaded my Tasker profiles (according to my stats). This is interesting.

I have the updated ICS (4.0) ones too, if anyone wants them:

The only flaw with Tasker is while it appeals to someone with some minimal programming or at least logic reasoning, it neglect another market segment of total clueless users e.g elderly, semi-educated users who still think a phone is used to make phone calls primarily. Even SMS is tough for them.

So while Tasker help one market segment users, other developers can help to plug the deficiency in the other market segment users. Android provide a conducive environment to better the lives of users of all classes and not just confined to certain class of users.
