Help Major Battery Problem. Please Help

Sorry for starting another thread regarding the battery issue, but I just could not take this anymore.
Everyday since I got my Droid X, I have charged it overnight every night before I went to bed. When I wake up it was 100% charged, but after about 8 hours of light usage (some facebook, twitter, didn't download an app, couple youtube videos), my battery was at 20%. This just didn't happen once, it happens everyday.
In order to fix this problem, I've tried:
-Advanced Task Killer
-Uninstalling and not using ATK
-Facebook and Twitter refresh once/hour
-Never use WiFi or GPS
-Hardly ever play games
-Don't text TOO much
-Don't talk on the phone much (maybe 5 calls/day)

Even after combining all of the above, I can't make it through one day without worrying about my battery life.
Whenever I'm on my phone, I'm always battery conscious and I feel like if I spend the night without a charger, my phone will be dead the next morning. This is just awful.
Any suggestions on how I can fix this problem?

Some might say that I should maybe change my screen brightness, but I dont think that will change that much of my battery life and I do like my screen bright so I really don't want to change that aspect of the phone. The brightness is currently at "auto adjust".

I am having the same exact issue.

Pulled my phone off charger @ 9am.

Made 2 phone calls (about 5 mins worth)

Sent four text messages.

And browsed for about 3 minutes.

it's 5:00 and I'm at 20%.

I've removed everything from all the screens except icons and my Beautiful Widgets clock/weather widget.

Turned off GPS, auto-sync, etc, etc...

Brightness set to Auto.

I've hardly used the damn thing today and it already needs charging.

At his rate, I might as well have a Damn TracFone.

I miss my Incredible now.

Get a new battery. It shouldn't be that bad. Just take it to the store and they'll more than likely just give you one.

what should i say at the Verizon Store? just say that my battery sucks? what can i do to prove to the people at the verizon store that my battery is terrible and i need a new one? suggestion would be very much appreciated.

look and see what sort of signal strength you have where you spend the majority of the day. Im my case Im mostly at the house where VZ claims to have perfect coverage but my signal strength is usually -101dbm with occasional flickers to -98dbm as well as a red circle over the bar meter (no service). If this is close to your case the phone is spending the battery looking for a signal.

I get at least 2-4 bars at my house and at my university (where i spend about 3 hours a day). So I don't think the phone looking for the signal is the problem.
This battery problem is so frustrating..

I went to the verizon store they tested my battery and said it was "fine" he said the voltz that come out are right where they should be and i must be doing something wrong..im going to give it one more day before I call CSR again..I spoke to them and they are the ones who suggested task killers and also told me to go into verizon store to have them test and i will get a new battery if it is needed..well of course they didnt feel it was needed..and again they told me at the verizon store that i would get better battery life on the incredible because the X has such a biggger screen...and also i set my brightness to 9%.

So after my last post to this thread, I decided to run down the street to the Verizon store. I explained the situation to the rep and after damn near 10 minutes fumbling on the computer, he went and got me a new battery. Now, when I went into the store my battery was at 20%.

After putting in the new battery and powering up the phone, it was still at 20%. Now I know these baterries are not stored fully charged, thats bad for them, but they come partially charged.

I mention this to the rep, who seemed like he really didn't want to be there helping me in the first place.

I state: "Hmm, the battery indicator is still at 20%"
Rep: "Yeah, the new batteries come with half a charge usually"
Me: "half a charge 'eh... half, like say... 50%...... Not 20%"
Rep: "Well, I'm no math major, but yeah 20% is not 50%"

At this point I wanted to punch him, but common sense prevailed. I agreed to go home and charge it and see how it worked. I'll know by tomorrow afternoon I suppose. I've just removed the Clock/Weather widget as well, so there isn't much left to turn off, besides the phone itself.

Keep us posted. Also, turn off auto brightness adjust - just in case.

Do you use any IM clients? I played with google talk recently and noticed it drained my battery really fast. Have you also tried factory reset? There may be an app that is sucking your battery dry without you even knowing.

I had bad battery problems also. I got a new battery, which helped, but last night I did a Hard Reset and after 11 hours, 47 minutes, my phone is still at 50%. I have played on the net, used wifi tether (I am rooted) as well as listened to music. I have weather bug elite and beautiful widgets on my phone and they are not causing battery problems. I just added the weather bug back this afternoon, so I am waiting to make sure that does not effect the battery life.

So in summary, I would suggest doing a hard reset now that you have a new battery.
