to check out the X @ the VZ store. I really didn't do much with it except try out the soft-keyboard and web surf.

I though the pinch to zoom in/out was really cool when browsing. It was very smooth, no stutter.

The keyboard (in landscape) was very nice, fit my fat finger perfectly.


I am waiting to see what the Droid 2 and the one from Samsung will be like since those will all likely be out by the time I can actually upgrade (Froyo will hopefully be out by then too!)

....Trying to talk my wife in to this will be another battle altogether!

You should read the full reviews on the Samsung's for the AT&T and TMobile versions that were just released, over at Engadget. I believe Verizon's version will end up being something of a cross between the two. I came away from their review somewhat unimpressed, although I did like the metal back on the AT&T model and it sounds like the screen is very nice.
