So I bought the Extended battery from the verizon store and have had it a week now. So far I have been less than impressed.
UP TIME: 15:32:36
AWAKE TIME: 3:26:47
Battery level warning for 7%

This is with the GPS/WiFi/Bluetooth OFF mobile sync on emails set to 1 hour, and low screen brightness. Sadly this is about 30% better than the stock battery but not the 60% it should be. Out of that 3 hours of uptime less than 10 minutes was internet use, no camera use, mostly just texting and 3 under 1 minute phone calls. It at least makes it through my work day without charging now if I dont use it much so I will be keeping the added bulk (adds almost a pens width in thickness) but it does cover the camera lens so its not sticking out to get destroyed. I guess I will be waiting for a 4300mah battery with back now (yeah I know, fat chance)

I'm running mine with a TP2 1500mah battery, Sync set to about 5 minutes, Wifi-on, gps off, blutooth off (unless I'm actually using them), and last night I put it on the charger at 39%, with roughly 20hrs Uptime, and about 3.5 hrs awake time. I use a Verizon Extender at my house, so I get full 1x signal, and turn the wifi on whenever I'm home. I get hardly any EVDO/3g signal at home, and this apparently keeps it from trying to acquire a signal by boosting power. I probably could have hit close 30hrs Uptime if I had left it alone.

I really thing poor signal is the cause for most of our battery issues..

What do your battery use stats show? You obviously have a rogue app or setting... (I could easily beat that with a stock battery and my current settings, which are FAR LESS CONSERVATIVE. If I lowered my use/settings to match yours, my 2150 would easily make 48 hours....)

If you can't pin it down, download System Panel and monitor your history. Barring a malfunctioning battery or phone (most likely phone if it's a hardware problem since you had dismal stock battery life as well), you should see an obvious culprit devouring your power...

FWIW - I'm at 11.5 up/ 4.5 awake hours with 5 emails accounts syncing every hour, 30+mins of phone calls, 55 minutes of WI-FI web surfing, another 20+ via 3G in a vehicle, 20-30 texts and some Navigation use (which is the biggest battery killer via Maps in my experience) plus a few Photos taken on the camera - and I'm at 62%...

Bad Battery / Bad Phone / Rogue App - Gotta be one of the 3...

How do you find a "rogue app" ?

I am a new System Panel user.

One thing I've noticed is that certain apps ALWAYS come back to my active list even after I stop them with System Panel. Off the top of my head, I know ESPN Scorecenter and Sound Manager are two of them that do this.

Signal strength on wifi and cellular modem play the STRONGEST role in battery usage probably tied with screen brightness...

Considering you screen brightness is set to a less than max setting - monitor your signal strength - especially when keeping the phone in a pocket...

Lots of people might talk about calibration to phone - I dont beleive it but cannot prove for or against it in any little testing I've done...
