Mobile Broadband question

My mom just got TDY orders to Dover AFB. She's happy because she's going to get to spend 2 months living with my grandmom in Woodside, DE. The problem is there isn't any internet out there (and there's not point in going through the effort to get it for only 2 months).

Is there a contract agreement with Verizon's mobile broadband? You all know of any other 2 month solutions for getting high speed internet? She's doesn't have a smartphone where she could use the wifi hotspot but I've considered it as a last resort option if need be...

maybe I missed something but that was taking about phone services. I didn't see anything about internet. Plus, she only needs it for two months so having someone come out and install stuff for internet seems like more trouble than just getting mobile broadband or something similar.

There is information via that site about services other than home phone, although that is their emphasis.

I have a kid in the military who has used connectmypone.com to have broadband set up.

Of course, you have to call them during the week. ;)

you can get verizon mobile broadband on month to month, although you have to pay full retail for the USB device, i think its around 249.99

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Is this produce available from 3rd party vendors? I'd hate for her to have to spend to much for a device she's not using more than a few months! Unfortunately, she's going to have to have internet to complete her work so this might be one of those "bite the bullet" instances...
