Hello everyone!

So I was at the Florida Mall in Orlando with my girlfriend earlier today and she was shopping... I went to go laugh at the fanboy parade at the crApple store, have the skin on my EVO replaced, etc.

We walk into American Eagle Outfitters and they have HUGE signs all over their store that read "Try on a pair of jeans - get a free phone!".

I walk up to the sales clerk and I'm like... "What's up with this promotion?", and they handed me a card with a website listed on it and directions to get this so called free phone.

I conveniently whipped out my EVO and looked it up, to my shock and surprise they ARE giving away free phones, including a decent line up of ANDROID phones! I went through the steps and got my girlfriend a brand new in the box HTC Aria! The phones are free with a new 2 year contract, and only $19.99 if you're upgrading and existing phone or contract. Not bad as the Aria is around $150.00 currently. I'm going to craigslist her virtually new BB Bold 9700 for $200.00 plus American Eagle sends you a $25.00 cash card!

Long story short the phone should be here in 2-3 business days and after it's all said and done, we should profit about $200.00 from our little find today!

Pass the information along to all of your friends and family looking at getting a new phone or an Android smartphone.

You can check out the link at www.ae.com/jeans

Have a great day!

..sniff...sniff...what is that I smell, its some kind of odor that rhymes with scam?

That's funny you say that... Cause AT&T just sent her their confirmation email telling her that her order is being processed.

PS: I highly doubt a nationwide retail chain would advertise a scam. And I don't think that smell showed up until you commented on this post.

What phones are available? And can you get one without a data plan? Cuz I have unlimited talk +text, but I don't have a data plan. If I could upgrade for $19.99 and not have to get the data plan, I'd be jazzed.

If you have a preexisting account like my girlfriend did, all they did was verify her current account options and made sure they gave her the same plan.

The guy on the phone tried to get us to buy a bundle with case, screen protectors, insurance but we refused it and it was all good.

They do provide a number to call on the site and they have operators available to answer you questions.

Good luck with your new phone!

Do you have to have an upgrade though because I just got my MyTouch a few months ago ><

Your carrier will deny the upgrade if you are not currently eligible for the upgrade.

I remember back when I have my BB World Edition there were places on eBay selling them for $0.01 on release day.

Companies do what they have to do to promote their products now a days.

Samsung's giving away Androids in the UK, Apple, and Verizon are doing coordinate based "treasure" maps where people are getting free phones on site or a voucher for a free one.

I'm all about getting quality products for the least amount as possible as soon to the release date as possible.

People don't believe me but I got $320 back after spending $299 for my EVO one week after release.

seems ONLY good if you want to renew ('upgrade' ha ha) your contract to new (=worse) terms. If you have a good contract, e.g. with early-adopter smartphone terms much better than today's rates, then you loose long term by renewing.

click the radio button option "replacement phone, no contract changes" and watch the HTC phone price go from 'free' to $419.

the scam is this: get people to churn their contracts, and unwittingly accept worse terms than before, for a subsidized handset.

When you posted the link to a site whose graphics did not match a redirect from the main retailer's site as a new member with a very low post count...looked suspicious

I'm not going to bother "quoting" anyone. But to all you nay-sayers or doubters... that's fine, you have just as much of a right as anyone to post here and say what you want.

But please do not imply that I am scamming anyone, or that I'm trying do anything fishy.

I'm on this forum to help people, and to get information to help myself.

To all of you who have confirmed that I'm not scamming anyone and that this isn't a fishy deal... THANK YOU!
