Hi Guys,

New here and have done some searching but didn't find a real answer...

I loaded Leedroid's 1.4c rom and the latest radio onto my desire...i rooted thru unrevoked..

my SD Card wasn't recognised in the desire itself..I didn't place a partition in at prior to loading the rom, i have since partitioned the sd card added ext3 thru GParted and placed the card in and still it is not recognised..(my mistake for not reading/following instructions)

i want to get rid of the current rom and place another rom on there, but i am unable to, until i can get the sd card mounted...i can chuck a new rom on the SD Card thru the laptop card reader but when i place it in the Desire, it is not seen...

when i chuck the desire into the pc it is not recognised either, drivers not found, but i did add the usb drivers prior to root with unrevoked...

would any one have a bit more direction for me..

Cheers...

Install Rom manager and see if for some reason, that will let you format it. You just need to re-format, partition etc hopefully.

Failing that, use the bottom section of lekkys rooting for newbies guide to format.

I rooted a friends phone this weekend. After partitioning phone wouldnt boot woth sd card in. Re did it and it was fine.

i partitioned it after i rooted the phone...i used gparted and did the fat32 for 1.5gb and ext3 for the rest if a 2GB card...
now in the desire it wont see the sd card..rom manager doesnt see it either..

So then there is a problem with the formatting that you did in Gparted so download pushfiles from Lekky's rooting guide and follow the last 11 Points of Step 6 (ONLY) to reformat, partition and create EXT3

There seems to be some confusion here also. Although the unrevoked guide states to partion before rooting, it can be done at any time. This is not your problem. It is that your Partitioning may have been unsuccesful.

when i rooted the phone, added a rom and radio, loaded it up..the phone runs...but i have no sd card recognised in the desire itself when looking in setting...sd & phone storage...there is no sd card in that...i formatted the card with gparted and now have the partitions...and it still isn't recognised within the phoe or in rom manager...

just got home from basketball so will get onto the steps...
